Contribute FeedbackLost Coins offers a mixed dining experience that entices with its charming ambiance and friendly staff but falters when it comes to food quality and service consistency. While some patrons rave about the attentive service and delectable dishes like chicken kebabs and Sunday roasts, others lament overpriced, underwhelming meals served cold, with poorly managed wait times. Additionally, noise disruptions and inadequate drink service detract from the overall experience. Despite the warm atmosphere and some commendable staff members, diners express disappointment, leading many to question the value. A few, however, remain hopeful for future visits based on past enjoyable experiences.
I came after a 6-hour drive and had to see something to me by tomorrow so I could do some more work. I sat fast, even without reservation, and didn't have to wait too long before I was asked for my order. the food was nice and filled and I could efficiently pay and reserve my table for the following evening.
The overall feeling of the pub was warm and welcoming. It felt clean and well run. The food was amazing and our server Leah was so friendly and attentive. It made for a stand out experience
Really enjoyed our family/friend Boxing Day meal. Table was set really nice. Relaxing vibe, Staff where friendly and welcoming will definitely be back with a bigger table next year. The food was great. really satisfied with the experience
We can't say enough positive comments about tiffany, it's friendly, cheerful and welcoming. she is also very helpful with local knowledge. it was a joy to meet them. she was professional and ordered complaining. that was our food for us satisfactory. but if they don't know how others found the place, then they can't make a sound choice. probably not back. I would like to start 4 stars based only on tiffany, our server, we would say 5 but we wanted to put an honest review. if we had assessed that, it would have been at most 2 3 stars. our duck chicken was cooked. (It was described as chicken in the heavy, should be a highest in a sauce huh, not a boiled chicken breast and a pot of gravity. but the bark was beautiful. as an appetizer we ordered creamed garlic mushrooms (which was more like a sauce for a steak) quite tasteless. also ordered butternut quash suppe of the day. the suppe was ok, but a little watery. the brot was beautiful. we ordered lemon panna cotta that was beautiful, but the short brotbiscuits are too thick for the delicate balance. we received this dessert for my wife and a coffee for me as an apology for the huh.
Friendly welcome. I got a table although we don't book. eating was nice and cheap. I don't wait too long to eat. hannah was our waitress very professional, bubbly and polite. nothing was too much annoyed for her. great member of her team.
