Following my mother's memorial service at the church, we asked Lawrenny Arms to lay on a buffet for the congregation. The food was freshly made, tasty and plentiful. Our guests were mostly local people, many of whom hadn't been into the pub since the change... View all feedback.

If you haven’t visited the Lawrenny Arms yet then you’ve missed out the food is amazing with so many choices. The Sunday lunches are worth a visit alone but book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Situated on the River Cleddau then it’s the perfect spot for walkers family’s and dogs are welcomed the beer garden is gorgeous. The staff are like a well oiled machine friendly attentive and professional you just cannot fault the place.
The Bald asked me out for lunch and it was a nice sunny day so we drove from near Fishguard to Lawrenny. It did not disappoint. Everybody was outside because the Sun was shining, so the bar looked the little sparse inside, but I can imagine it bustling when it’s full of people. You can sit outside and overlook the estuary which has a variety of little boats to dreamily watch and wonder. Whilst we were there about four or five boats hooked up to the pontoon and their crews came into the pub. A lovely little place to stop. The Bald had gammon and he was thrilled. Succulent and cooked very well. The accompaniments were equally impressive. I opted for the lighter bite prawn cocktail with a side of buttered new potatoes. I was slightly disappointed to be given defrosted prawns which had a little bit of water in them making the sauce slightly diluted. The salad was really nice and the bread and butte which came fresh and tasty. I cannot say anything bad about the potatoes, other than £3.95 for a ramekin with four small potato and two little squares of butter seemed a little bit on the expensive side. The beverages were fairly priced we had beer, cider and gin. Sitting outside under the warmth of the sun and watching the world go by whilst having a favourable meal is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. There were a bevy of school aged children working very hard bringing us our food and clearing the tables. They were delightful, polite and very easy to engage with. They also did the check back and went out of their way to answer or find out things we needed to know. This is definitely on our list for a return at some point. Thank you.
We had a lovely Saturday evening buffet and get together at Lawrenny Arms . Alanda and her crew were amazing, we can’t thank her enough. We also had a lovely Sunday lunch for 10 people today, it was perfect, but more than just the food, it was a special anniversary and Alanda and the crew really made sure we had a special day. We will always remember how kind and thoughtful they all were. We will definitely be back soon.
Found this lovely, welcoming pub by chance and booked for 5 kids and 5 adults to enjoy Sunday dinner. Service was SO friendly they bent over backwards to make our meal enjoyable and fun. Kids were given colouring sheets, fire was roaring, views were beautiful, landlady came out to talk to us all and offered the kids a treat at the end of the meal, locals were keen to chat at the bar, food was plentiful and delish! Possibly the friendliest pub I’ve ever been in.
We booked Sunday lunch for a large party of ten for a special anniversary. Alanda and her team went above and beyond ,providing the best hospitality and fantastic food. The Sunday lunch for delicious ,with lots of meat and vegetables and served piping hot. They even served deserts ,singing waiter style and sung to celebrate the occasion. The pub is cosy with a real log fire in the most beautiful waterside setting. There is often live music so it’s worth checking their social media for what’s on. Highly recommended and well worth a visit for drinks and dining .
