Good. Contrary to the feedback on some websites, the food was good.. service wasn't superb, but it was reasonable.. There is only the set menu.. One has a choice of an additional 2 courses and/or cheese for an additional charge. Certainly one of the better restaurant in bristol View all feedback.
What Alexa Mason doesn't like about Casa Mia:
Casamia never ever disappoints. It delivers on all fronts: the food is quite remarkable with the simple description of each course on the menu belying the beauty, complexity and depth of flavours in each one; the service is second to none; the new location at The General is very different to Westbury-on-Trym but really suits the elevated status of the restaurant. Casamia never fails to impress. The food is exceptional, with each dish on the menu described simply yet delivering a depth of flavor and complexity that is truly remarkable. The service is outstanding, and the new location, while different from its previous one in Westbury-on-Trym, perfectly complements the restaurant's elevated status. Bristol residents are fortunate to have such a gem right on their doorstep.
Casamia has been on my radar ever since brothers Peter and Jonray Sanchez-Iglesias won Gordon Ramsay's Best Restaurant contest on Channel 4 in 2010. Their unique style of applying molecular gastronomy techniques to their exclusive Italian cuisine drew in a large audience, and it was heartwarming to see how their tight-knit family was enjoying the success. Their proud parents had bought the restaurant for the young brothers and helped run it on a day-to-day basis. Since 2013, Peter has also appeared on Great British Menu on BBC2 and has made it to the national finals.
At Casamia, there is only one fixed menu available. You have the option to select two additional dishes (without cheese) or stick with the original set menu. To begin the meal, we were presented with breadsticks to dip into a tangy cream and cut, along with green olives and macadamia nuts. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the olives were. The breadstick was a satisfying appetizer to nibble on while waiting for the main course. The freshly baked bread with...
Raymond youaeph. we went on Wednesday to cassamia were there for four hours, and it was enjoyed by all. eating was excellent, service equal and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I'm going back to the finals. I didn't leave a tip because I didn't notice the screen on the card device. but I will go back to pay my debt, the service was excellent.
My husband and I ate here mid-week to celebrate his 40th birthday. The food was delicious all autumn-themed (this was back in October) and smoky. Even the strangest combinations (smoked apple juice with bay leaf foam, and mushroom fudge, I'm looking at you both) we're expertly balanced and delicious, not weird ideas paired for shock value alone. The portions were fine for a tasting menu, and the staff were friendly if not always attentive. They were very enthusiastic about the food and wine, though the wine waiter chatted for so long at times I worried about my food getting cold (it wasn't). I would definitely go back there for a special occasion.
