This café is not only cheery and welcoming but also offers fantastic value for money. The food arrives promptly and is always tasty. During the summer, they had a wonderful promotion where kids ate for just £1 when an adult purchased a meal priced at £8 or more. Such a thoughtful offer truly supports families. View all feedback.
What callingitlikeitis doesn't like about Brown's:
At 1:30 pm on a Saturday, one and a half hours before closing time, we attempted to dine at this cafe for lunch. However, we were informed that they were closing, had the door shut in front of us, and then locked. An hour later, we passed by the cafe again and noticed that it was open, with people coming in and out and being served. It appeared that the cafe was actually open. We suspect that we were denied service b... View all feedback.
Very warm welcome from kind friendly helpful staff. They are happy to adapt menu items. Great choices for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free diners, as well as everyone else. Reasonable prices too. The weather wasn't good enough to sit out on the terrace, but we were lucky enough to grab the end table where we could look out over the valley to the hills beyond. My gluten free tuna mayo toastie and salad was great they were happy to do me a salad without onions, and I was happy when it arrived with a little pot of toasted seeds to use as a topper if I wished (I did wish). My companion enjoyed his mushrooms on granary toast, a favourite lunch dish which is not easy to find. I was sorry I didn't have space for a gluten free cake. The cafe was very clean and the service was excellent. I would happily eat here again if I was in Pembroke at lunchtime.

Today I enjoyed a nice meal at this restaurant, but I was disappointed with the long wait for my food, which took over 50 minutes, especially since I ordered breakfast. The staff were friendly, but it seemed like there were enough of them since it was a quiet bank holiday. When my food finally arrived, my friend's beans were cold and mine seemed like they had just come out of a can and were too runny. The food itself was good, but the service was slow. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I felt like I had to mention this. It may not always be like this, I may have just had an unlucky visit. I would still recommend this restaurant, but maybe avoid going on a bank holiday.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, the customer service is great! I would definitely recommend stopping by at least once. Everything is homemade and delicious, and the old-fashioned ice slices were particularly tasty.
Very expensive £21 for 2 small jacket potatoes with cheese and beans and 2 coffees... Each additional extra £2.20(for a spoonfull of beans) small plate, No side salad, terrible
