Absolutely first class generous crab sandwiches with a delicious lemony mayonnaise (homemade) and some superb salads, one of which was a small amount of a delightful green vegetable in a sesame dressing. I wish I'd asked what it was. Thank you, so lovely to find such inspired food and in a great setting. Cecilia View all feedback.
What SummerKag doesn't like about Bothy Tea Room:
Arrived here for light refreshments with the family. Returning yet again for the apple cake! Whilst in the queue the staff were abrupt with another two customers. When it was our turn I ordered apple cake and other items. I was told we could not have apple cake until the other cakes had gone????I queried this bizarre response and was told again no apple cake is for sale until the other cakes had been sold. Very disap... View all feedback.
I stopped by after a pleasant stroll in Colby Woodland. I opted for the Gardeners Salad, which was unique and delicious. The salads were beautifully presented. Afterward, I had to choose a dessert. Everything looked inviting, but I ultimately went for the date and apple crumble. I don't typically leave reviews on TripAdvisor, but this place definitely earns a 5-star rating in my book. Thanks for a delightful meal.
In early September 2023, we stumbled upon this fantastic tearoom. The lunch bread rolls stood out, easily being some of thebest we've tasted, with a delicious homemade apple pickle on one of them. The selection of cakes was awe-inspiring. Both the Oreo blondie and summer fruits lemon cake tasted heavenly. It's remarkable to learn that there's a repertoire of about 40 different cakes on rotation in this family-run café. Its location is an added bonus, nestled amidst beautiful woodlands and gardens, with the serene Amroth beach nearby. We also enjoyed browsing through the gallery and the second-hand bookshop adjacent to the café.
Charming, family-run tea room situated in the heart of the woodland garden. Great cup of tea and Best cakes. Ever!
The tea room at this National Trust site has an incredible variety of cakes, possibly the best I have ever seen. They were so delicious that I actually returned the day after our visit just to purchase more. The location is beautiful, making it a lovely spot to enjoy some tea and cake.
Fantastic tea room in a wonderful setting. The coffee is great, the lunches fantastic, and the homemade cakes superb. Staying in nearby Summerhill for a week, we visited Colby and the tearoom a number times, and it was excellent on every occasion. The rustic rolls were tasty and filling. The fruity flapjack is the best I’ve ever tasted (the Polish cake and apple cake were also delicious). The staff were very friendly and ran a slick operation (even the Saturday Parkrun crowd didn’t phase them).
