Denny's - Peculiar

Upon approaching and entering the restaurant, we were greeted by clouds of smoke from the hostess’ cigarette which she proceeded to take her time finishing after watching us enter. Really appetizing. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes, in a restaurant that was 90% emptywaiting. And waiting, while the other server worked on stocking supplies instead of simply walking us to a table. When the hostess finally returned to her post, a family that was leaving cut in front of us to be checked outthe hostess hadn’t even greeted us. We were finally seated by the hostess, whose personality and affect were completely flat and unpleasant. Orders were placed promptly. More people left, and we were 1/3 tables being served. After 45 minutes, my (I’m guessing frozen) hash browns and side of fruit were still not ready. We left and donated our meals (if they ever got made, to the selfish and smelly hostess). She can save some money on her smokes.

Abbie was an excellent server. And this was a very good meal. Might have been the best I've ever had at a Denny's! Dietary restrictions: They let us get a side salad for one of our sides. The rest were very high in carbs, so as Diabetics we appreciated that choice. The mixed veggies were very good, too! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Sugar is the best waitress I have ever come across. LITERALLY EVER!!! We placed an order to go and everything u could possibly need was in there with the food. I was just blown away at how good this woman was at her job!!! She deserves $12/hour PLUS TIPS!!! Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast

My husband and I walked in. There was a gentleman waiting for the hostess to seat him. We saw maybe theee tables of guests. We waited at the door for 8 minutes. Saw one server and no one acknowledged that we were standing at the door waiting. We left. Upon walking outside, a woman with a Denny’s shirt walked behind us. She appeared to be taking out trash. She was laughing. No one questioned why we left, nor did they appear to care. Sad service environment.
