Pizz-a-ghetti - Pearsall
Pizz-a-ghetti
Description
Hidden in small‑town Texas, this family-run, takeout-focused spot divides diners: beloved for huge, handmade pizzas, sandwiches, and nostalgic cinnamon‑stick treats, but criticized for inconsistent quality, steep takeout prices, long waits, and occasional sanitation/service lapses. Expect homemade sauces, thick-crust pizzas, generous portions and iced‑tea refills; plan for a walk‑up window and no phone orders. A local favorite for truckers and regulars, it’s worth a detour if you prize bold, home-style flavors and can tolerate a rough exterior and hit-or-miss execution.

?? Ordered delivery to Bien Venido motel. Had already called several places and couldn't get delivery. Ordered quickly, without checking out the menu, everything on it pizza and a chef salad. Gave my card number without asking the price, 42.00. This better be some dang good pizza. Guess what? It was! I mean AWESOME! A LOT OF MEAT, smoked sausage, hamburger, ham, pepperoni, blk olives, green pepper, mushrooms, onion and more on a genuinely hand tossed yeasty crust. Nice and hot! Seriously, off the chain! I'm a Trucker who runs Texas to California. Definitely doing this again! Highly recommend! ? ?
I ordered a family-sized portion of spaghetti, but when I got home, I discovered there was only enough for one person. The sauce had no meat in it, and the noodles were undercooked. The garlic bread was terrible as well; I'm not sure what went wrong there. They used to have excellent food.
To start off i was told to wait in the back n someone would bring me my food waited forever then was told by some guy in the back to go around that the cashiers stupid when i pull around n get my food its upside down in the bag falling all over literally garbage paid almost 11 dollars for spaghetti that looked like it was 3 days old n 9 dollar for a 3 inch chicken Philly that was slimy n came out to almost 30 bucks for nothing worth paid for !! and almost made me throw up I've tried plenty good Philly places Italian as well definitely wouldn't recommend ? was actually excited for some good Italian lol guess u can't find it in Texas!!
Drive-thru only, but don’t overlook it! This is the best spaghetti and bread I’ve ever tasted from a restaurant, hands down.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I was instructed to wait in the back for my food, but after an excessive wait, a staff member told me to go around because the cashier was inefficient. When I finally received my order, the food was upside down in the bag, making a mess everywhere. I paid nearly $11 for spaghetti that looked as if it had been sitting out for three days, and $9 for a tiny, 3-inch chicken Philly that was slimy. In total, it came to almost $30 for food that was hardly worth it and actually made me feel nauseous. I've tried many great Italian and Philly places before, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this one. I was really looking forward to enjoying some good Italian food, but it seems that's hard to find in Texas! Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.
