Food is delicious, so far, I’ve enjoyed: fajita chicken and beef, soup and ribeye (the perfect medium rare). The place is kindly decorated which makes it cozy, they used walls as canvas to reproduce different places with different colors, depending on the angle where you sit, the outside has nothing to do with the inside, don’t think it’s closed, just go to the black door and go inside. What Alicia Guerra doesn't like about La Parrillada:
Ordered molcajete which turned out to be small pieces of chicken n beef with large chunks of onion hard to find the bits of Nopales, which I was looking forward to. There was no spice in any of the food. Salsa seems to be tomato sauce, chips ok. WHAT HAPPENED? DID YOU LOSE YOUR RECIPES WHEN YOU MOVED? This was my go to place when visiting. Locals seem to like it. It has changed. Cut some of that grease, get some spice... View all feedback.
This was my first visit to this restaurant on Comal Street, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food.
If you're looking for genuine, delicious food, you have to check out this little gem.
The food here is absolutely delicious! I've particularly enjoyed the chicken and beef fajitas, the soup, and the ribeye, cooked to perfection at medium rare. The decor is charming and cozy, with the walls artistically painted to reflect various scenes in different colors, depending on your angle. Don't be fooled by the exterior; it looks nothing like the inviting interior. Just head through the black door to enter. As for vegetarian options, they are available and can accommodate dietary preferences.
The young waiter was super nice. He suggested the beef fajita plate that was the special of the day...I went for it and it was delicious. The rice had such a wonderful taste and so did the borracho beans. Everything was great. I'm a truck driver and I was looking for a place to sit down and eat a good meal. I got the right place. I'll be coming back again. It was very cheap. Less than $15.00
First time I went I had a barbacoa taco which was delicious and the service was wonderful. Second time I went the server didn't pay any attention and forgot little things here and there like our drink and utensils and my food was getting cold while I waited. It was okay but my cousins and I had a good experience the first time and were slightly just disappointed the second time. I'll give it another shot cause perhaps it was just the server.
