Very good service and food. It is open. There is some remodeling going on in front of the store. Entry is blocked and you have to walk down past it a bit to enter. View all feedback.
What Alex Smith doesn't like about Dickey's Barbecue Pit:
Was blown away at the price increases after not coming here for a long time. The meat seemed dry and side was served in a bag? So much for quick lunch BBQ at a decent price. $19 for one lunch is not for me. View all feedback.
Service was great and the food was amazing! Loved the BBQ sauces and the free icecream was definitely a plus. Our kids loved it.
It's obvious that there is new ownership. They attempted to create a smokey smell by putting something on the grill as we were coming through the door that damn near choked me. They don't seem to be doing any real cooking. As the kitchen was spotless.Thesides all tasted prepackaged, pull pork had no flavor and I could taste that it was thawed out because it was watery, BBQ bakedbeans was just baked beans. Also, the turkey was not what you expect at a BBQ joint. The tea was not sweet and it appears thatthe ice cream cones must be requested due to them wanting to limit access. Unfortunately, it's nothing southern or BBQ aboutthis location. Its obvious the 3 people working was related and doesn't seem to know anything about BBQ. They appear to be ofsome sort of Indian decent (culture makes a difference in cooking). I was very disappointed after opting for this location overJim n Nick's due to convenience and extreme hunger after a long drive from camping. The food wasn't that bad but I felt as if wegot a meal deal at Kroger
I was surprised by the price increases after not visiting this place for a while. The meat was rather dry, and the sides were served in a bag. It’s disappointing for what used to be a go-to spot for a quick BBQ lunch at a reasonable price. Paying $19 for one meal just isn't worth it to me.
The service and food were both excellent. The restaurant is currently open, although there is some remodeling happening at the front. The entrance is blocked, so you'll need to walk a little further down to get in.
I ordered three meals: a two-meat plate, a one-meat plate, and a brisket sandwich. When I got home, I found that there was no melted beer cheese or any toppings for my fries, which I was really looking forward to. On the bright side, the meat was cooked well and the BBQ sauce was tasty. I’m not sure why it’s so difficult for a restaurant to double-check an order at 7 PM, but it would have been great to have the cheese.
