T J's - Peace River

Bern here often. eating was good when we order and good value. well, the restrictions lifted the Friday night buffet is back. the price is too high for what is served on the buffet. other places, if they paid this amount, would mean dinner with higher end-selections such as prime rib, etc., these would be a high price for only basic items and was small amount. they need to lower the price on basic products or add better choices.

One of my favorite places to eat when I am in peace river. great restaurant and eating is really good.

TJ's has been fantastic during the COVID-19 pandemic. The owners have made extra efforts to ensure customer satisfaction, going above and beyond to fulfill orders promptly and keep us informed about meal options, especially during slower times. They always check to see if we are comfortable and the food is consistently delicious. We appreciate TJ's for their dedication and great service during this challenging time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Very warm, friendly and welcoming staff. We had Egg Rolls to start. I don’t usually order one because at other restaurants I can typically get a better one in the freezer section at the grocery store. . , , the kind man serving us gently encouraged me to try one. I am so glad that I did. It was delicious! Our main dishes were a Cantonese Chow Mein and a combination plate. Both were very good, and they use very fresh vegetables. As we would have guessed both the egg rolls and chicken balls are home made. We don’t live in Peace River, but wouldn’t hesitate to do the hour drive next time we are craving Chinese food.

I would have given today's visit a "0" but the lowest rating was one. We have been going to TJ's for years and it has always been consistently good and fresh. However, our last visit was extremely disappointing, with tasteless food. So today we decided to try the buffet...and it was a complete disaster. It was the worst meal I have ever had at TJ's: frozen fish sticks, overly salty dishes, and everything was cold. The only things that were edible were the coleslaw and dessert. I will no longer recommend this restaurant.
