I’ve been coming here for years. They always have good quality paneer. Love the food. The Chicken Tikka app is my favorite. They recently started upgrading the inside a bit at a time and I like the way it looks now. Lunch portions are a good size andsuper reasonable priced. (Like $10) they have a few vegan options too so I can go out with my vegan friends
Rasoi catered our wedding at the Providence Public Library. The food was excellent. Several guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and a number of our Indian guests said it was the best Indian food they had ever seen catered. The process of working with them was very smooth, and they were more than willing to customize certain parts of the menu. Mywife and I have also eaten in the restaurant several times and always love what they serve. We would highly recommend eatinghere or working with them for your events.
Reviews were great so we thought of stopping by this weekend. From the outside, the restaurant looked underwhelming but changed as soon as you enter. The layout is quite different. There is a bar seating as well but we went at around 5 5:30 PM EST and didnot see anyone there. The staff was very friendly. We ordered a lot of food and I mean a lot for 2 people. So let me start withthe food. IPA Good Mango Lassi Not good. It tasted very diluted. For $5, that's pretty expensive for a watery lassi. ChickenTandoori Excellent. Don't order the potato masala. We did a mistake there. Should have just taken rice. The potato masala isbasically the masala put in masala dosas and I am not a big fan of that taste. The lentil which came with the tandoori was toogood. Bengali mutton I have no idea why it's called Bengali!! I am from Bengal and a pure Bong. If you say Bengali mutton, mymind goes to mutton kosha or even homemade mutton and Bengalis love potatoes in mutton which it did not have. So I wouldn't ratethis at 5. I will give it 3 just for the mutton pieces. It wasn't chewy, unlike other restaurants. Bengali seafood stew Againwhy is it Bengali?? Just adding peas doesn't make the food Bengali. In Bengal, prawn/shrimp curry is famous but it's mostlymalaikari. But this was very salty and bland. So I would give a 1. It's expensive as well. Chicken Biryani Noooo. How can youmess that up!! It was too much spice and not the authentic Indian biryani taste. At least nothing like we get in Bengal orChennai or north India. Hard pass on biryani. Chocolate lava cake It was good. So overall I will say it's very expensive.Quantity is enough for two people. But don't know if our 2 hr drive was worth it.
Nice place, clean. Food Was good. The drink I had, not quite my taste, but I tried something new. You can sit outside. Clean restroom.
This restaurant is the best Indian Restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and flavorful! The employees, management and everyone there always make you feel welcome and goes out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your meal! If you haven’tbeen here you are missing out! I can’t even name just one favorite because everything is fantastic but if I had to it would beShrimp Madras and Aloo Gobi!
