The empanadas here are outstanding! Granted, I 'd call them papusas, but I 'm definitely a gringo. Seriously though, delicious and priced right. Not much in the way of dine in, so we usually get them to go, but I highly recommend. I also tried the quesadilla, the wings and the fries and would not really recommend. But the empanadas are outstanding !

Came here after a wedding, tired and slightly hung over in need of breakfast. Staff is very friendly and they speak Spanish and English. The food is Salvadoran. I ordered two tamales and they were great! Inexpensive and delicious. If you've only had Mexican tamales, these are a bit different. Salvadorans use bone-in meat, so careful when you're eating. The size of the tamale is much larger than your standard Mexican one, since they use banana leaves instead of corn husks as a wrapper. I usually have 2 Mexican tamales, but one was plenty. The filling is not spicy at all. Lastly, the masa (corn dough) is much fluffier and softer than Mexican tamale masa, which is firm enough to eat with your hand. You'll need a fork for this one. The Tamales!! Looks like a simple bodega, but in the back part they serve very authentic Mexican food. Going back for more tamales for sure.

I was walking around Pawling when I happened to notice this place and stopped in for lunch. The menu listed empanadas so we ordered one pork and one cheese loroco. Upon receiving my order I was very pleasantly surprised to learn they were pupusas served with a generous amount of the typical Salvadoran slaw. Both pupusas were excellent and I'll be coming back regularly to enjoy them.

The food here is really good and affordable. Service was really nice, feels like a bodega with a side room restaurant with a giant pool table in the center and a jukebox. Will have to come back to try the chicken soup.
