Everythi... read more It was a Friday night and the formula in the restaurant is then fixed. A starter (2 decisions), a main court (2 decisions) and a dessert (2 decisions). Everything we chose was delicious. If we ever stay in Pau again, this is the place we eat. Very recommended!

The menu only had two choices for each course but they were all delicious and very well prepared. The staff were excellent as we only had a smattering of French....If you are visiting Pau, this is a definite choice, but do book.

The cheese was heated a few hours ago and served cold. In addition, according to 3 customers claimed, no change in the restaurant approach, 2... of them received the same dish heated with cheese in microwave that made it even more plastic.

Pau seemed a good place to stop and recharge batteries and L'Opera seemed the sort of restaurant we could treat ourselves at. So we went for...Sunday lunch. Everything was excellent, The food (see the attached menu) quite deliberately had very few choices but was superb. The service was excellent. The ambiance was calm, quiet background music, lovely decor, comfortable chairs and adequate tables nicely spaced, good local wines by the glass (we were driving so had to limit our consumption). and we left after spending less that a hundred Euros. Should we pass that way again we would be be back like rockets.
