So called by the locals, but I just found out that they also have some German entrees. I went with a friend from Austria who said a couple of the dishes were really good. I had only ever eaten the trout which is great! and now am sold on the sausages and some of the other dishes. The location is lovely with a pond (once used for trout hence the name) is lovely and a nice outing when one is in Patzcuaro or the surroun... View all feedback.

Beautiful setting in the country with seating overlooking some ponds. I had a great trout dish and others in our party all liked their entrees. I'd come back for sure!!
On our way to Erongaricuaro town, we were surprised about the number of cars outside the restaurant, so we decided to enter. And that was an excellent idea, the place is huge, is a combination between German and Michoacán cultures, all kind of food, steak, fish and German and oriental, too. It owns an special menu for drinks, bottle and wine of all prices. Food portions are adequate and the view to patzcuaro lake is lovely. I do really recommend the terrace for eating literally) next to ducks... Desserts are awesome too, try the hot apple strudel. We really loved the place and any kind of credit cards allowed. Prices are OK according to the place... Really hope to be back soon... Pd. If you have the opportunity, visit patzcuaro and Erongaricuaro, they are really lovely Mexicans towns and food is really cheap
We discovered Aleman a few years ago during the exploration from our RV camp in Patzcuaro. Aleman is in a curious location about 15 km or so from the city, and the facade is not indicative of the furnishings. This is certainly one of the most pleasant places to spend the afternoon and eat in the entire area of Patzcuaro. The German sausage plate is good and a change from other local cuisine. Large menu, different quality experience. But the place is a great experience and worth the ride.
We love the traditional and Mexican cuisine of the area, but it is nice to have an alternative. Campestre has a beautiful pastoral view of Lake Patzcuaro, along with fountains and ponds with a beautiful atmosphere to eat, celebrate or just relax. Good food, pleasant servers. A new favorite!
We stopped today on a bus tour at Campestre-Aleman. It wasn't busy at all. Our group sat in various areas. None of us had particularly fast service, but our part of the group waited for an hour for our food. It was okay to eat, but nowhere near that long wait. The restaurant has also added a tip to our bills. Be aware of this. We had good hopes for our lunch, but a fellow traveler called it an expensive disappointment.
