I don't usually leave any reviews for anything, but I have to go here. We've been going to Sauro for sandwiches for years. Steve and Lenny took my catering order for 70 people with a little less than ideal hint. We had the party last night and it couldn't have gone better. The ordering and picking process went very smoothly. I have several compliments on the quality of food. Thanks again to the entire staff at Sauro’... View all feedback.
What Jim Nasium doesn't like about Sauro's Deli:
I been going here for years and was willing to put up with the changes and the selling of hats and vape pens, but when i sat at the table outside like i normally do to eat my sandwich and looked thru the window to see bottles of southern comfort for sale isaid to myself there plenty other delis in the area i can support dont sell this stuff. Feels like a gas station. Best of luck. View all feedback.
We hired them to cater a lunch for around 60 people and everything was fantastic! We enjoyed chicken Marsala, peppers and onions, roasted potatoes, and mixed vegetables. All the food was high quality and absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them!
First, I heard that Sauro's sold the deli. Is that true? I met a woman at Acme who said she would NEVER buy anything from Sauro's. She mentioned that Sauro's sold to someone, but I didn't catch the name. I bought a sandwich there about two weeks ago: rye bread, meat, thinly sliced onion, lettuce, and a little mayo. Is that really what you call a sandwich? It had three slices of meat and just a couple rings of onion. Seriously?! And the lettuce was just the typical shredded kind. The rye bread didn't taste like any rye I've ever had! Was it even rye? The bread was only 2.5 by 3.5 inches—does that even qualify as a sandwich? The real kicker? It cost $7. If I had unwrapped this sandwich before paying, I would have told them to keep it. Honestly, it's ridiculous! Who’s making sandwiches there, and do they even know how? I really wish IGA Jimmy was still around; he knew how to make a proper sandwich. I could make two sandwiches out of the amount he put in one!
Sauro's did an amazing job catering our daughter's baby shower! There was plenty of delicious food, and all our guests commented on how great it was and wanted to know where they were located. A big thank you for a wonderful job!
Stopped at this family owned take -out deli/sandwich shop on the way to the airport in White Plains. The menu has several specialty sandwiches/wraps or create your own. You can even choose from several variety's of Boar's Head meat. I ordered honey Turkey honey ham. The sandwich was perfectly stuffed. Not an enormous amount of meat, but just the right ratio of meat to the very soft sub roll. There are some premade sandwiches and salads available, as well as wrapped baked goods. Much better than airport food! Would definitely stop here again.
This family owned deli features sandwiches, salads, and anti pastas, desserts, frozen Italian fare and hot food too! You can order at the deli counter, and I ended up choosing a premade chicken Caesar salad, and was able to add additional veggies, as per the deli guys suggestion. I'm grateful for the service, it's friendly, courteous and timely. If you like single portioned desserts or charcuterie like me this is your place.
