I’ve been taken my family to El Sabor de Mi Barrio for over 10 years. Food and service “Used” to be great. Now there is a new owner and new staff. The service is just horrible. read moreNestled in Paterson, New Jersey, El Sabor de Mi Barrio has garnered mixed reviews over the years. While many patrons fondly recall its once-celebrated service and generous portions, changes in ownership have led to a decline in both. Some visitors have encountered smaller plates and rising prices, prompting disappointment from long-time fans. However, others still praise the cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and consistently delicious dishes, particularly the jalea and leche de tigre. Overall, diners appreciate the restaurant’s cleanliness and diverse menu, making it a notable spot despite recent criticisms of service and portion sizes.
