I went with friends one evening and ordered drinks that were advertised with discounts on their website and Instagram. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged full price. When we brought up the discrepancy, he dismissed the discount, refused to honor it, and began calling us cheap and mocking us. A few days later, we decided to give the bar another chance, but when we walked in, we saw the same bartender arguing with a younger staff member behind the bar, so we left right away. This bartender/manager is clearly unfit for his role and has no place in the service industry; I wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't even run a hotdog stand successfully. If it were possible to give negative stars, I would. I certainly won’t be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this place.

If identification wasn't checked to confirm age, why should anyone be denied service? If you're of legal age, acting maturely, dressed appropriately, and the venue isn't full, what reason could the establishment possibly have for refusing service to customers? It seems like the decision may have been based on appearance, which is a concerning practice. This situation certainly warrants further discussion and investigation. In an area that benefits from a vibrant mix of young urban professionals and college students stepping into the workforce, this approach to building a customer base is quite puzzling.

Unfortunately, things took a turn... read more I visited this restaurant with a group to celebrate a friend's 21st birthday, eager to enjoy some drinks and have a good time. Unfortunately, things took a turn when the bartender informed us that we “definitely don’t look 21” and refused to serve us. We would have happily shown our IDs to confirm that we were all of legal drinking age, but the bartender didn’t even ask for them. What was meant to be a celebratory night quickly turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Given the decent reviews this place has, we expected better service. Looks like I'll have to wait another five years before I can enjoy drinks here.

The manager took the two things out of the bill. (Obvily). After we complained to him that the cook should check the food before leaving the kitchen, he decided to give us an article to take home. Will never go back.

I had to take out my seasoning to season all of it. Eggs are cooked horribly idk who you guys have as chefs but horrible. Also the waffle was horrible super doughy and not crunchy at all I barely ate it. Also no ketchup, butter or syrup was included I had to use my own.

Not a single person had a disa... read more I visited this restaurant for a lunch gathering with around 30 family members and friends, and we ordered from the catering menu. Not a single person had a disappointing meal. Every dish, from the appetizers to the dessert, was outstanding. The staff was attentive, and the manager, Bobby, was fantastic. I would definitely choose them again for a large event. We also dine there before shows at the theater and have always had a great experience. I highly recommend it—you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Village Idiot!
