We 're annual visitors to the Tuscon area (snowbirds). I have to say we 've been generally disappointed in the Mexican food we 've tried in the area, so were a little hesitant to stay once we saw the Mercedes Restaurant menu. But we were hungry, so.... Despite the poor reviews we thought we would give it a try. The server was nice and accommodating,obviously family run cafe. The enchilada sauce was the best I had tasted.we didn't have to wait long for food and it was attractively served. Nice people but the 9.50 preformed hamburger snd fries was just not worth the price. Prices were to high for what you got.
Went to a fun birthday celebration here for Bob Sandner. Good food and nice place.
Make sure you add up the bill yourself. We pointed it out but we still got over charged.
The wait was long, not much for ambiance but the food was good all the way around. Menudo was awesome. The waitress was Very sweet.
I absolutely love this place! Business is family owned all employees are related one way or another. Extremely friendly staff. They have a great selection of seafood beer. They have the best homemade Menudo, which is my favorite. I also love the Chili Rellenos. I almost forgot to mention the delicious Flan, Choco flan they serve it is Delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting beautiful Patagonia!
