What User doesn't like about Rustic Fire Pizza:
Meh typical Californian pizza akin to a shakey's etc. They serve beer and wine and the ambience is a cool place. But the pizza is nothing to eat 5 stars like some people do. The place and service is 4 stars and it is dog friendly for outdoor tables with parking. View all feedback.
This is one of the few places along the route from SF to LA that has vegan options. It is NOT a vegan or veg restaurant, however there are at least three items on the menu which are vegan or can be veganized. Roasted veggie sandwich (skip the cheese), salad, and pizza. The veggie pizza is very good and they have Daiya vegan cheese. It's not on the menu you have to ask for it. Also, beer and wine available. For dessert, there is strawberry sorbet.
Great place. Had a vegan sauce that was pretty good. Also my veggie pizza with vegan cheese was good. Definitely trying a place.
That was my first restaurant experience during the pandemic. I saw the previous reviews for Rustic Fire and agreed with them: this place has good options for vegans! I got her Hawaiian pizza with her vegan cheese (which has coconut oil in it, good to know if you have coconut allergies, and asked for no ham or cow cheese on my half. Your Hawaiian has cashews in him, as well as pineapples. My treasure eats meat, and I decided to order a large pizza half vegan (baked cheese, no meat, no cow cheese, half with meat to try a more cost-effective solution. You didn't charge us extra for half! We also asked for Jalapeños (Staff asked if we wanted to be cared for or fresh; we did fresh! It turns out that they have a secret menu, and on it is Hawaiian with Jalapeños a Hawaiian volcano! They were open for outdoor dining. We noticed some people sitting outside at other tables unmasked, even if not eating food hanging. Fortunately, the employees wear their masks and there is a large Plexiglas protective personnel inside from customers. Their washrooms were clean and easy to use. (I used the women's laundry room; my sweetheart waited later for the men, but the person who used it took a while, so he went to a nearby place for coffee and laundry use! I appreciated and loved the low waste as our food was brought to us. (First: bring your own bottle glass if you want water! We asked for tap water when ordering and received two clear plastic #1 PET cups, and showed two jug ice water, one with lemon in, with which we filled our cups. I also try to cut back on plastic waste and realized that the own reusable water bottle is a good way to go here. Unfortunately the lemon water tasted, so we poured it on our table, and I brought my East Bay grower tap water to fill our cups. The pizza came to us on a can of pizza tray, fed in parchment paper. The staff had separated half carefully with meat from half that was vegan, which I so appreciated. We received thick paper sheets that are durable and much more reusable than the flimsy paper type. We have a big pizza and it was perfect for 2 people. A little piece of ham came on my side of the pizza, but I saw it easily, and my treasure ate it. Her Hawaiian pizza w Cashews was AMAZING, NY style, low tomato sauce, generous toppings. Plates parchment=easy take-away wrap; super heated next morning!
Go through the meal. The team was nice on the phone and courteous to be gf and vegan.
We went through Paso Robles and were pleasantly surprised to find this place. They have vegan cheese and many vegetables to choose. The service was excellent, pizza was delicious and it was really clean. Hand-sanitaries on all tables inside (a must for these times)! We stopped here on the way back.
