We walked in at 5 with no reservation but got seated at the bar. Sit there if you can and have a small party. Chico the owner/chef is an entertainer as well as an excellent chef. Self made man who loves his craft, his restaurant, and his employees. I asked if he thought the sea bass or the sand dabs were better, he said he would do both for me as a special. Both were excellent and really awesome that I was able to ta... View all feedback.
We celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. We began with oysters, followed by shellfish and crab cakes, and finished with the sand escape dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our waiter was very sweet, and the owner was lovely. The atmosphere was great too.
We were recommended this restaurant by one of the wineries we visited, and it did not disappoint. We were able to get a table on a busy Saturday without a reservation, which was fortunate. We ordered calamari, seabass on fettuccine alfredo, and lamb. Everything was full of flavor. The Alfredo sauce tasted homemade, with just the right texture—not too thick or creamy. We would definitely be happy to return the next time we're in Paso Robles.
It was in the area for the weekend. My absolute must have if on the beach is Clam Chowder, wherever we would decide to eat had some! But I also had to think about the rest of Fam Bam? I decided to go here because they actually have Clam Chowder. Other requests were, however, Italian food and everything else than Burger. After looking at the reviews, this place seemed to fit all requests! It was about 10 minutes drive from where we were. We came after 7:30 and found a parking space within five minutes. The whole area was busy! The restaurant is embedded in the vase between many other restaurants. It's small so you'll probably have to wait a little depending on working hours. Since we arrived after 730, our waiting period was less than 10 minutes. When we got the menu, we were worried that we wouldn't find a plate that our 9-year-old would like. The menu was simple, but the selections were a bit of imagination for our child. We told our waitress our concern. Luckily they could make spaghetti and what child does not like spaghetti?! Once we have cleared this, we decided to get Clam Chowder, salmon salad, fillet mignon and seafood soup. Everyone loved their food! The Clam Chowder could have been creamier, but the taste was on the point! My very picky steak eater of a man was impressed by her fillet mignon. He tested the butter knife and melted the steak under the knife? The seafood was delicious and full of taste. I was so full of the shell chowder that I didn't have room for my salad, but the salmon was delicious (I picked up something to taste? . The service was great and our waitress got a 20% tip because it was so good. Since the place was small and picturesque, it is hard not to be close to other males and it was quite loud. But honestly, that was my only grip and that's just a personal preference. In the end, this place was mamage-tested! Would you recommend and come back when we are in the area!
Everything was incredible. It was fun to sit at the bar and watch the chefs cook from the open kitchen. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection.
