Contribute Feedback What Tracy Johnson likes about Yayoi:
I and a friend went here yesterday to have a reunion with some colleagues I haven't seen for more than a year because of the pandemic. there was a waiting line out since it was lunch and so I waited, it's good that they have been sitting outside to wait customers. While I was waiting, I was already informed about some items that were not available, and that all items on their computer menu are the only available that... View all feedback.
What Amya Grady doesn't like about Yayoi:
Ordered through Grab and took them 2 hours to prepare the food because they made a mistake with the arrangement of Grab orders. They ignored our rider just because he is a rider??? Lol never ordering again. View all feedback.
The overall meal experience is noteworthy. The service is fast because of the tablet ordering system. The food is filling. I liked the soup with clams the most. Everything was delicious. The set meals would be the best thing to order if you'd like the best for value.
A place where efficiency and perfection is served. Menu Tablets are used instead of your traditional page by page menu, each item has a picture represented so feel free to pick whichever made you drool the most. Tablets are well updated on its available products everyday so if its not on the tablet, order something else. Our Orders: Mix Toji Teishoku - breaded porkloin, fried shrimp and sukiyaki beef simmered in special sauce and egg. It also served soup and side dishes. I loved the texture of all the meat on this plate with the right sweetness and soy base sauce. Saba Shio - salt grilled mackerel. Fishes are at the least of my foodlist so when I encounter a good fish dish, its on my recommended record and this one made it. It has a clean taste, meaty and all-tasty. Sukiyaki Teishoku - beef hot pot with assorted veggie in stewed sukiyaki sauce. Belly filling dish that is sharable. There are lot of ways to it sukiyaki so make sure to try which suits you best. Tamago Yaki - its your japanese omelette roll. Its perfect to balance with my sweet sukiyaki. Reminder: they have 5% service charge. hekaonechan.blogspot.com
Teishoku or Japanese Cuisines. ???? Rushing! After my meeting. I travel to SM Megamall and I arrived few minutes before the mall open. Walking fast! Until I reached Yayoi at the 3rd Level of Building B of SM Megamall. I am number 9 in the line and I will be included in the first batch to experience Yayoi's Regular Teishoku Set for FREE. ???? Yayoi Japanese Teishoku Restaurant is the first Teishoku Restaurant in the country. Its a franchise from Japan. They have branches in Japan, US, Australia and Thailand. ???????? Once seated, the server handed me the menu and aside from that they also have an ipad menu in every table where you can place your order, call the staff for assistance and ask for the bill. Hi-Tech! ???? I place my order to the ipad in front of me. I got the bestseller in all their branches Namban Teishoku, its a fried chicken steak in sweet and sour sauce with special Yayoi tartar sauce. "I really like the way they did to the sauce. It's really yummy!" I add a dessert Ohagi, steamed sticky rice ball with azuki beans. Namban Teishoku with Miso Soup, Vegetables and Rice for Php395.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Ohagi for Php145.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 I had a "busog day" with Yayoi. Definitely I am going back again for the other Teishoku sets. #ilovetoeat ????❤️

Was excited to try the food here. As we enter we were seated right away. As it was my first time eating here a waiter gave us a quick tutorial on how to order using the iPad tablet on the table. I was a bit confused though as we were also given the usual table menu. They told us that there were some items that are in the paper menu but are not on the iPad menu. And only the items that are on the iPad that are available for ordering. That said, it still didn't explained why they gave us the paper menu. Anyway, so we ordered from the tablet, and it was so nifty and "hi tech" and the food was service was also quite fast since we were served maybe within 10 to 15 minutes. Also if you are not comfortable ordering via iPad, a waiter can explain everything to you. As for the food, most of their items are served "teishoku" style or "complete meal set" style. In other words, most of their entrees comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawanmushi or japanese savory egg custard and japanese pickles. I had the Mix Toji Teishoku which is a mix of pork Katsu, shrimp katsu and sukiyaki style beef served on a hot stone dish and the rice was served separately. My brother had the sukiyaki teishoku which is a a big bowl of sukiyaki with both thin noodles and thick udon noodles. As for flavor, it was really good. I like that the sukiyaki beef was really tender and sweet. And the pork katsu was also tender and flavorful. I love that the food were served on hot stone dishes which kept the food warm all through out the entire meal. What I didn't like though, was that the rice and the miso soup were not refillable. But the rice was real Japanese rice so it was really good eventhugh it was "bitin". I ate everything on my set except for the chawanmushi which I never really developed a liking to. Drinks were not included with the set so we ordered lemon iced tea which was also not refillable. Once you are done, you can again click on the iPad to check your bill and to signal the waiter to get your payment. Prices were a bit expensive comparing it to other Japanese restaurants and considering they don't have free refills. This is not the first restaurant that I have eaten here in Manila that offers this unique experience of ordering from a tablet. And I think it is a more efficient way of servicing customers. I think children of all ages will like this new "hi-tech" way of service. I just wish this establishment will have more branches out soon!
