The... read more The morning after the big storm, I decided to try Rick's Cafe since I just moved to the area. I've been on the lookout for a charming family-run restaurant. The server was friendly, which was a nice touch. However, the food was just average—nothing to write home about. I was surprised to find a 60-cent charge for rye toast; at 80 years old, I've never encountered that before. Additionally, the coffee was $3 and not very good. They only accept cash as well. I'll continue my search for a nearby breakfast spot. I don't mind paying for a meal, but I really value well-prepared and flavorful food, and unfortunately, I didn't find that here.

Incredible service and prices for a basic but good breakfast. The... read more This is a local favorite for breakfast and I wasn’t disappointed. The seating is open style. You can sit wherever you want and even with complete strangers. The locals are super friendly and make non locals feel welcome. The food came out super quick and the prices are really good. The only downside is it’s cash only. There is an ATM on site but the withdrawal charge is $3.50, not including whatever your bank may charge. Still, if you want a delicious, quick breakfast on the cheap, this place is worth checking out.
