I had a wonderful breakfast experience here with my mom. The coffee was fresh, and the waitress was attentive, making sure to refill our cups frequently. It reminded me of diners I used to visit in the Northeast. Just a heads up: this place only accepts cash, so be prepared when you arrive, but they do have an ATM on-site if you need to withdraw some money. View all feedback.
What Larry Weiss doesn't like about Ricks Cafe:
The morning after the big storm, I decided to try Rick's Cafe since I just moved to the area. I've been on the lookout for a charming family-run restaurant. The server was friendly, which was a nice touch. However, the food was just average—nothing to write home about. I was surprised to find a 60-cent charge for rye toast; at 80 years old, I've never encountered that before. Additionally, the coffee was $3 and not v... View all feedback.
Love Rick is so much that we have to eat breakfast every time we're in town. Great service and prices for excellent food. Only cash.
We go here every Sunday morning, because of the Everything Omelette. Family owned and is worth the wait. The wait isn’t that long either. Tables flip quickly. The only negative thing is We do have some rude people that say things like “They are almost done and we can put their table together with ours. Pretty sad when you say it loud enough for them to hear! Rushing out guest, Not Respectful.
Incredible service and prices for a basic but good breakfast. Our personal favorite in Zhills, we go atleast once a week and are almost always happy we did.
This is a local favorite for breakfast and I wasn’t disappointed. The seating is open style. You can sit wherever you want and even with complete strangers. The locals are super friendly and make non locals feel welcome. The food came out super quick and the prices are really good. The only downside is it’s cash only. There is an ATM on site but the withdrawal charge is $3.50, not including whatever your bank may charge. Still, if you want a delicious, quick breakfast on the cheap, this place is worth checking out.
I decided to try Rick's after reading so many great reviews. My two friends ordered breakfast and were satisfied with their choice. As it was closer to lunch, I ordered the liver and onions. The liver was profoundly overcooked, the mashed potatoes were the instant kind with chives and very dry. Lastly, the green beans were canned (disgusting) and were the best part of the meal. I will not eat here again.
