Rob's Bbq On The Side - Pascagoula

I just left the restaurant and I'm really disappointed with the customer service. Usually, I try to overlook the way the staff behaves towards me because of my race, but today was different. It felt like the staff member didn’t want me to enjoy my meal at all. She specifically searched for the darkest rib and, when I pointed out that I didn’t want my rib cooked that dark or burnt, she told me that they don’t customize orders. When I asked her why she sifted through the ribs, she said she was just cutting them. Then, she suddenly decided that she wouldn’t sell me anything that I didn’t want, refusing to serve me any food at all. It really seemed like she didn’t want African-American customers in her restaurant. I won’t deny that the food is decent, but the way she treats people who aren't Caucasian is unacceptable.

Fantastic BBQ with generous portions for the price, paired with friendly service. Update from 9/23/22: This was my third time dining here, and it was the first for my family. I felt compelled to call and share how amazing the food was and how much we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be returning as regulars! Rob's on the Side undeniably offers the best food we've had in South Mississippi. If I could give it 100 stars, I truly would. Keep up the excellent work! The artwork in the restaurant is also stunning. Be sure to check them out on Market St. in Pascagoula, MS. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!

Best Barbecue I have ever had plus The family is awesome!!

I'm from Chicago and I was on the hunt for some delicious ribs! It was definitely worth the trip. I've found a new spot for some great BBQ!
