One of the best Persian restaurants in LA, and perhaps the best in Pasadena, especially I think, serve Pasadena City College students as it is right in front of college and have a nice selection of healthy and affordable lunch menu. The decoration, paintings, table/seat and the food feel like old Tehran (some relate to good days restaurants. Kabobs are not spicy, always fresh, and properly cooked (persian style. Ghormesabzi with Tahdig, mast or musir must. I usually stick there and can't eat anything anymore (now, by writing it I want to go and put a full plate of it down. Most waiters and the cook are persian. The Kababab-Koch (the big little elder reminds you of the grandfather in the TV series khaneye sabz in Iran. An important thing for some to know is that they do not have alcohol serving license, does not mean alcohol, even bring your, no argument, and please respect that or do not go. The place is halal/kosher and has it 's faithful religious customers who trust the restaurant to be half. You have plenty of space for small parties, but you haven't seen live music.

The traditional place and food. That was my first time there and everything was great. Menu items were fully Persian and traditional. We got the combo kabob with rice and it was delicious. Also, we tried our friend's stew and Barg kabob which was amazing and we loved it. The food portion was good and enough for 2 people. The place was cozy and the service was also good. We definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Heidar Baba makes me happy. I stop in any time I’m in the neighborhood and try to talk myself into trying something new, but I always order my go-to and never leave disappointed. White meat chicken kabob plate with the salad — both are enormous and so fresh and tasty, it’s hard to not eat the entire thing in one sitting (the plate can easily provide three meals). The rice is impossibly light and the juicy chicken and grilled tomatoes make every bite of all three a treat. I usually get just water, but last night I ordered an Arnold Palmer and was blown away by the amazing flavors in the Persian tea — literally a delight. The staff is hard-working and always positive and makes the guest experience very casual and comfortable. Thank you, Heidar Baba — see you again soon!

Wasn?t that great of a food compared to other available locations in L.A. Shish kabab wasn?t tender. Shawarma tasted mostly of ketchup and mayo, which shouldn?t even be a part of the sandwich. It wasn?t too bad, it felt more like a burger. Found a deadfly in a menu and kept having lives ones flying around me. Over all, it?s ok. I wouldn?t come back. That?s my opinion, mypartner loves the food here and recommends it. People that work there are great.
