Very nice Japanese cafe. Good options for the lunch set with a reasonable price. I command grilled salmon Benton! Everything is delicious! Come early this place can be busy!! Just after 2:00. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Delicatessen By Osawa:
The beef curry was one of the best I've had in the States but the Oyakodon was disappointing. It was dry, the eggs were not creamy, and the sauce was overly salty. My mom didn't even finish it. I might go back and try other dishes if I'm around the area, but I would steer away from the Oyakodon. View all feedback.

If you love Japanese comfort food, you will love Osawa's delicacies. After I came back from Japan, I missed Japanese food pretty bad. Fortunately, I found this place to satisfy my desire. It is the second restaurant of the same people who run Osawa, also in Pasadena. Where Osawa is more from a reservation and sit Arta Restaurant, The Delicatessen is more casual. You have a very friendly and professional staff, delicious food that is always in place, and the parking is also validated.
Very authentic Japanese food. The staff is very nice. My favorite Japanese restaurant in town. We tried almost all the articles from their menu. Eating is just delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients.
Once we have entered, we are addressed and greeted by one of the friendly staff who handed over the menu and declares lunch special and Bento boxes. You have all drinks on the open refrigerator, where you can choose one of the different varieties, from tea, lemonade to konbucha before placing your order. But if you only want water, there is a jug on the other side of the wall where all spices and disposable utensils are. We ordered lunch special salmon. We also ordered salmon avocado sushi, potato croquets, crabs and chicken carage. The Lachsessen special came with a mini-Udon shell. The potato crocket came with a diving sauce and crispy. The crab crown also tastes good and crispy. The chicken carage was a bit salty for my taste, but could be good if with pure rice. The lemonade Matcha is okay, but not especially for me. Pricewise is a regular price for a Japanese food store. Not really cheap and not very expensive.
Authentic food and friendly staff. If you live near Pasadena and don't feel like driving all the way to Little Tokyo or Torrance or Sawtelle Blvd., this is your spot!
