The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and offers wonderful service. The food was quite good, although I wish the tea sandwiches had two pieces of bread instead of one. Nonetheless, they were delicious. The menu was a bit confusing, but overall, it was a great experience. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Madeline Garden Bistro Venue:
We were looking forward to having high tea at the restaurant. We were seated quickly at a very small table. The drinks went on the windowsill to make room for the food. The waiter was very short and unhelpful when ordering. It was like we were wasting his time asking questions. The tea came out quickly, as did the salads and tiny scones. However, we waited about 45 minutes for the rest of our meal. When I asked the w... View all feedback.
I wouldn't recommend this place for a casual tea. The atmosphere feels more suited for parties and private events, as the staff appeared uninterested in catering to our needs as a party of two. We ordered a pot of tea, which was actually quite nice, along with two small scones, a few savory tea sandwiches, and a selection of sweets. In total, we ended up being charged $80, which I found to be outrageous for what we received. Perhaps they are more accommodating and offer better prices for larger groups.
This restaurant in Pasadena has a great location and we found free street parking without any trouble. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea; the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We visited on a Sunday and chose to sit outside in the courtyard, which was lovely. Inside, there was live guitar music that added a romantic touch to the atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends.
We made a reservation for a birthday party of nine on Sunday, and it was my first experience with high tea. I was really looking forward to the occasion, and I think this venue is perfect for beginners. As for the food and drinks, I ordered the eggs Benedict while my wife opted for the English platter. The service was friendly and efficient, which was a big plus. The decor had a charming English theme, and everything was beautifully arranged. There was also live music, which added to the atmosphere. Overall, I would definitely return!
What a lovely brunch! My boyfriend took me here, and I really enjoyed the fact that there’s a live harpist! Such a quaint restaurant in a historic building that Einstein worked in. We both had the Brunch which came with a Scone (blueberry choice of beverage (we both got French Press coffee and an entree (pictured. thank you!
We had a bridal shower here. All the food was delicious!! Every dish received compliments and the staff was very kind and helpful. I recommend it 100%. Everyone in our party had such a blessed time.
