I enjoy exploring different dishes, and last night we tried the spicy tuna on crispy rice and the pear and prosciutto pizza. The pizza was amazing and definitely worth ordering again; we actually ended up getting a second one. On the other hand, the spicy tuna was a letdown. What Candie S doesn't like about Great Maple Pasadena:
Service had definitely gone down here. We loved coming here for the comfort and ease. But for the prices you're paying I'm disappointed in the service. We were never greeted by a server. We had to push the call button in order to just get a menu since no one told us the wi-fi passcode to scan at the menu. You are a couple stories underground so you need their WiFi password to get online. Our food arrived well before... View all feedback.
Our first time here, we were a little disappointed. We ordered popcorn a tres leches cake. We got our popcorn within a few min. Time goes by, and we see someone bring a tres leches cake to the couple next to us. The server left, and the couple looked at each other and back toward the server (which had already walked away) and then started eating the cake. I'm pretty sure that was our cake because we never got ours. I decided not to say anything because the movie was about to be over and didn't want to rush eating my cake. When the server brought us the check, I told my bf to check if they had charged the cake. They actually had charged it! I called the server over and told him what happened, and they removed it. Overall, that's been my only bad experience. Even though that happened, we gave IPIC another chance, and it has become our go-to movie theater. I like how it's clean (including the restrooms), the service is always on point, and their seats are super comfy. They have cute decor and sets to take pictures. I've had their popcorn (good), Mozzarella Sticks (crunchy/good), wings (buffalo ranch/good), cookies and ice cream (good/not too sweet), and tres leches cake (not sweet and it'd actually good). I've also had their Pear and Prosciutto Pizza (it's decent), but it does the job, and I would probably order it again. *pictures coming soon* One thing to be aware of....they do validate parking but not the one on De Lacey (across the street from them). They only validate for the parking on Union across from the Container Store.
**Food:** There’s a small table between the seats for your food and drinks. I came in with low expectations, as most theater food in America hasn’t impressed me before. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty our selections were. The Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls can be fried or baked—I’m not entirely sure which we had—but the crispy wrapper and generous filling were delightful. While the flavors weren't extraordinarily bold, they were still quite enjoyable. You absolutely must try the truffle fries; they’re addictive! Both items made for great movie snacks. We also ordered the Burrata Margherita Pizza with a thin crust, which was also quite good. **Service:** The young staff members were hardworking and attentive. They took our orders and served our food right to our seats, and they were very helpful and friendly. They thoroughly cleaned up the area after our movie ended. Overall, they made the experience truly worthwhile!

The rice was neither crispy nor fresh; it tasted stale and soggy, as if it had been sitting around for a while and had a flavor reminiscent of old oil. The tuna was decent but not spicy at all. For $21, I wouldn’t recommend it, as the portion was quite small. All in all, it was a fun date night, but be prepared to spend a bit.
IPIC does not validate parking, despite what their website states. Throughout the movie, the waitstaff was quite noisy while taking orders and delivering food. On June 9th, the men's restroom and escalator were unavailable due to maintenance. On a positive note, they offer soft, comfortable blankets for guests at no extra charge. While the staff was friendly, I found the prices to be quite high.

When asked for a refill it took almost 20 minutes for our server to come back with it. It's unfortunate because I love watching movies here.
