It was an okay experience. The staff was nice. The area is good for meeting up with friends or that person you're dating. Parking lot is 90min free then pay afterwards (one thing that sucks about Pasadena is paying for parking). Not really for reading or studying, but sort of okay if you want to leave the office a bit. Indoors is a little tight in terms of space. Outdoors there are tables. Price-wise, it was more on the pricey side, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Pretty much a $2 sandwich you can make at home, nothing special. The bread isn't great. Mid
Charming little coffee shop. There's nothing wrong with it, but nothing particularly remarkable either. You get exactly what you anticipate.
After trying multiple espressos at both establishments over the course of the year, it’s clear that Float serves the best coffee. Today at Float, I enjoyed a richly flavored Americano made with beans from La Mill, and it was delightful. In contrast, yesterday at their competitor, my Americano lacked texture, was overly smoky, and had a problematic astringency. Ultimately, taste is subjective, and I sincerely hope both coffee shops thrive in the long run. However, it’s disheartening to see the landlord of the shared building adding more stress and competition to small businesses in such a challenging market.
Nestled in the charming Burlington Arcade, Float offers a delightful blend of sandwiches and whimsical floats that keep patrons coming back for more. While recent visits reveal some inconsistencies, particularly with soggy bread and bland flavors, the eatery remains a cozy spot with generous portions and friendly service. Standout items include the chicken pesto and turkey cheese melt, though some dishes could benefit from enhanced seasoning. Coffee lovers will appreciate the well-crafted lattes, making this an ideal destination for casual diners of all ages. With a few tweaks, Float could elevate its already enjoyable dining experience.

The Italian sub had generous portions, but it was quite dry. I do appreciate that the salad is packed with greens, but the first few bites were quite bland, and the overall experience ended up being dry. I’m giving it 4 stars, though, as it’s a minor issue. I hope the restaurant considers my feedback. The atmosphere here is fantastic! If you have a smaller appetite, you can easily share a sandwich between two people.
I suffer from severe chronic muscle pain, and I've discovered that swimming is an outstanding therapy when paired with self-massage and mindfulness exercises. I’ve completed six weekly sessions, and each one has been better than the last. In the first session, I focused on getting comfortable in this unfamiliar environment. Now, I feel a growing sense of excitement with each visit. I've realized that I can achieve some wonderful stretches while floating that I can’t replicate in other ways.
The restaurant is a lovely spot with good quality food. However, there’s some room for improvement in terms of flavor. The smoked salmon toast tends to be a bit dry and could benefit from a sauce or something to provide some contrast. The chai latte is also quite mild in flavor. Overall, it’s a nice experience, but with a few enhancements, it could become truly exceptional!
I gave this place a 5-star review about a year ago, she had the best sandwiches in Pasadena. I have to change it to 3 stars, because the last few times I left were at best sub par. The bread was soggy meat was subpar and overall it is a meh sandwich. The staff and the owners are very nice, but I think this place can be much better than now.
Outstanding sandwiches! Just exactly as a good clean sandwich should be. I discovered this business to late in life. My go to is the chicken pesto. Girlfriend loves the picnic sandwich. Try. This. Place! Its also located in a very charming hallway, I think the term is an arcade? Its worth a visit for the aesthetics alone!

This is a very funny coffee/sandwich shop in a cool location. as their name says, they are specialized in a lot of swimmers, of whom I tried the cold brew float. this is the perfect way to see for me that I have a dependence on coffee and ice. next to the swimmers and the standard coffee arrangement they serve a lot of bagels and sandwiches. I tried the train mi that was delicious and I would highly recommend. this is a place to check if they get a chance.
This place is a hidden gem in Shoppers Corner, offering fantastic sandwiches and indulgent floats!
This is a small and cozy spot that offers excellent tea and coffee, but what truly stands out is the wonderful people who work here.
