This spacious restaurant features several distinct sections and a large shared parking area. It operates seven days a week, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The prices are affordable, and the service is excellent. There is an extensive menu with a variety of dishes for every meal. Additionally, the restaurant sells whole pies, freshly baked each day. The food is delicious and satisfying. View all feedback.
What Brandon Spencer doesn't like about Coco's Bakery:
This is one of a handful left in California apparently after many were shut down. This one in Pasadena used to be better. Frequently it has many empty tables when we have visited. Service is friendly, but the food doesn't seem to all that great anymore.. though certainly better than say, a Denny's. The first time at this Coco in Pasadena. Waited to sit for 10 minutes. And they were at 15% capacity. came to a voucher I received in the post. It was a steak and rib combo. The food was good, but the steak was about 2 1/2 ounces. I spoke to my server, Diana. She talked to Marco's manager. He was not an understanding or accusation. Diana Play me a free piece of cake. She was great. Pay 50% more customers than reasonable. And being led by her manager. I'm not coming back. Possibility to use a coupon to bring new customers, and then let them refresh over a few dollars...
Their pecan pie and bread is good. But their steak is bad.

I'll have to admit, I've been to this location many times over the years and haven't really had any issues but our last 3-4 visits were terrible.(hence the review) When you clarify to your server something specific and they agree, then you should get what you want. Not today! We asked for crispy hash browns, nope. We asked for our eggs, well well well well done, nope, we said it four times when ordering it and the server agreed... still nope, did not get it. After us asking for both of our plates to be fixed, the server blames it on the cooks. You the server, the one grabbing the food off the line and bringing it to our table, should have looked at the food and made sure it was up to par for your customer before serving it. If the food didn't look right, obviously it wasn't, you should have told the cooks to fix it before you brought it. You, probably get away with bringing food out that's not per order many times per day and those other customers might not say anything it not me. It seemed like you didn't care. 4th time in a row we've had terrible service at this location. Total bummer we have to drive a bit further but we like the service at the Highland Park Coco's better anyway. Hopefully you guys can get it together. Good luck!
I use to love going to Coco's. It was my community go-to restaurant, even when it was Bob's Big Boy. Yet, in the last couple of years, I've been there only 4 times and each time, I've hoped would be better, I've been disappointed with the service. Like this last time: it took me 15minutes before getting seated, although I was the only one waiting, the waitresses/waiter saw me, yet ignored me. Then, when a waitress finally acknowledged me, she didn't come over to me to speak but just looked at me and began pulling out menus and turned to walk into the dining area. If she spoke, it was too low to hear. I just assumed she wanted me to follow her. I ordered, then received my drinks, which I had to call her back for straws. My omelet, when I got it was cold and rubbery, I told the waitress, who took the food away with the silverware. She returned and asked me if I'd like something else-I was hungry, so reordered and she brought the food, with no silverware and after 5 minutes of not seeing her, I had to get another waitress to bring 1everything with no apologies, nothing about the previous order! I paid my bill with a 20% tip, but I won't ever return .
