We walked for lunch today. Love the concept. Naan Tacos and Roti Burritos together with traditional articles. And they make the naan in a traditional oven as you order! Had the tacos so I could try a variety of their flavors. Loved the lamb, loved the chicken Marsala, but the grilled chicken was salted to a level of infertility. If it weren't for that curse, they would definitely have got five stars from me. View all feedback.
What Lela Huel doesn't like about California Chutney:
The restaurant is situated in a pleasant location, but unfortunately, that is the only positive aspect of this establishment. We decided to try the lamb and shrimp biryani dish. The lamb portion was lacking in meat and not cooked to our liking. Both dishes had the same biryani rice, which was overly sweet and excessively spicy. Additionally, there were unwanted ingredients in the rice that made it hard and crunchy. T... View all feedback.
This restaurant is quite unique! You pick your meat and then choose your base, similar to Chipotle. Options include a bowl, tacos, or a full plate with sides. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the lamb vindaloo, both of which were very fragrant. While it may not be high-end Indian cuisine, it is a respectable casual dining spot worth revisiting.
Came here during BoldPas. It is a bit like ordering at Chipotle, choosing a base and a meat, then toppings. You also have preset items and a daily special menu. On Saturday I went, the daily special was two tacos a drink for $8.99. I tried the samosas, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. The cucumber yogurt chutney really helped to negate the spiciness of the tikka masala. The chicken was a bit dry under the sauce, but the tacos filled and the chicken was my favorite. The Samosas were all right, not my favorite. They just tasted, but were crispy what I liked. Fries with the Maisala spices were crispy, good and well dosed. I'd definitely come back here if I were in the area and want an Indian food.
The food is really good! The grilled Ktikka chicken was a little dry, but add each of the delicious Chutneys they have and it's no problem! The chicken ktikka masala Pommes were delicious! But eat them quickly because it is wounded by the sauce. Overall, I would come back when I'm in the area. The only complaint is that it is a little expensive for fast food, but I think it is worth it.
It's the Chipotle of Indian food. I always get the naan tacos, since there are about eight different proteins you can get, including veggie options, lamb, and my favorite, chicken Tikka masala. Top the taco off with some lettuce, some chutney, and some sauce, and away you go. You can also get a plate of tacos aren't your thing, but... Tacos should be your thing. They do have lunch specials, so if you're there during a weekday you can get a little bit of a deal.
The fusion cuisine at this restaurant is fantastic. The naan bread is soft and chewy inside, with a crispy exterior. The lamb dishes have amazing flavors, but they can be quite spicy. The papadums were unremarkable. The prices are a bit higher than what I would consider reasonable.
