The friendly staff provided helpful suggestions from the menu, and the extensive drink menu offers a variety of wines, spirits, cocktails, and mocktails for all to enjoy. The refreshing mojito and the fruity fruit tingle were highlights among the drinks. For starters, the classic arancini risotto was a crispy delight, served with a sweet marinara sauce and creamy fetta crumble. The Agnello Spiedini, a slow-roasted lamb rump marinated in rosemary and garlic, was a flavorful spectacle, served with a rich garlic and red pepper sauce. The Pollo Escallopes featured succulent grilled chicken breast with olives, tomatoes, basil, and buffalo mozzarella, complemented by sprouts and mini potatoes. To end our meal on a sweet note, we shared the chocolate brulee dome, a decadent dessert featuring layers of chocolate sponge, mousse, caramel, and dark chocolate ganache, accented with gold flakes and served with white chocolate gelato. Overall, our dining experience at Sicilian Modern Italian and Woodfire Pizza was delightful, with delicious food, warm ambiance, and attentive service. We highly recommend this restaurant for a taste of Italy in Parramatta.
I recently dined at this restaurant with a special offer from Dimmi. I decided to try the Balmain bug, which was delicious and served on a bed of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The dish was well-seasoned and accompanied by a wedge of lemon to enhance the flavors. Overall, it was tasty and well-balanced, although I think it would have been even better with a rich lemon butter sauce to tie everything together. With the offer, the price was reasonable, but it might be a bit pricey without it. Overall, it's a nice restaurant to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
Decided to dine here as we had a voucher from the Entertainment Book to use up. The restaurant is massive inside with lots of seating. Mid week, the place had a decent amount of people. I ordered the Pork Belly which was huge and had an awesome puree, crispy bits on top, a couple of scallops and the all important crackling. It was a delicious meal but i had to pass some onto the garbage disposer aka my brother as i couldn't finish it all. My sis and bro had the crab and prawn ravoli which was very flavoursome. The Hawaiian pizza was nice however the marinana pizza was a bit salty. Service was pretty good. All in all, a decent all round restaurant to dine at!
I visited this restaurant during the Dimmi's special promotion. The restaurant is very large, with additional tables in the back. The lighting was bright. However, it seemed like they were understaffed because we had to wait a while for someone to take our order. We ordered bruschetta for appetizer and then pasta for mains. The bruschetta was good, but the pasta was just okay. After finishing our meals, we waited a long time to see the dessert menu. Eventually, I had to get up and grab a menu myself because no one came to our section. We ended up leaving without having dessert. The dinner was cheap because of the Dimmi's special, but I don't think I will return to this restaurant.
It's always a pleasure to visit a venue that has stood the test of time like Sicilian has for over a decade. Seafood dominates as it does in the region of Italy that this menu is inspired LOW CARB BURATTA CHEESE served with rocket and figs, dried cherry tomato, toasted ciabatta garnished with fig reduction CLASSIC ARRANCINI DI RISOTTO this is the main way Sicilians use their rice next to risotto, in its natural flavors and stock, sits on marinara sauce and shredded fetta. PORK BELLY: The crispy pork belly with truffle mash, seared scallops finished with an apple mousse and cider reduction. The meat is so tender and and its rind making a nice crackling sound when breaking! Great contrasts and perfect prep. BAIA MORTO BAY BUGS: Grilled garlic and herbed infused Morton Bay bugs rested on basil infused rustic mash and roasted vegetables (zucchini caps), finished with Sicilian Hollandaise sauce RISOTTE DI PESCE: Is typical of the sicilian island as their risottos will predominantly always feature their local catches. Prawn, calamari, vongole, octopus, and mussels feature here with fresh roma tomatoes and saffron. NUTTELLA PIZZA: It was impossible not to have a pizza from the feature woodier oven in the lower ground dining area. Chef made us a fantastic banana and strawberry creation with a luscious nutella base and a centerpiece of ice cream. Such simplicity, yet rich and elegant perhaps the underlying thread to the success of the menu and this venue that has served tens of thousands of meals over the decade. Karina and her team served our table, were very helpful with recommendations and the wait times were surprisingly quite swift considering a number of large groups had walked in while we waited to order. The ambience is classy and sophisticated, nice booths in the lower dining area, and versatile table settings to suit all occasions on the upper split levels and rear bar areas. Al Fresco dining is also available. A leader in the Parramatta dining scene for sure with a rich history and truth to Sicilian cuisine.
