Very good food! Friendly and good english speaking staff. Tip for lunch: Tortellini of the house and panzanella!
This place is over rated. Our salad was lettuce and radicchio with a few tomatoes for $5. The grilled vegetables were overcooked and flavorless. Both pasta dishes were overcooked and terrible, tasting only like spoiled butter. $30 later I wished I had never gone.
On a busy Saturday [OK in February with C-19 fears still in the air] I thought being able to geta table quickly in here was a bad sign. I'm pleased to say it was no such thing. In a city renowned for its food, here's another that does local produce, recipes, and wine very well and is a credit to all 3. Would happily eat here again.
We stumbled upon it while exploring the city center. And fortunately... there were few people, and the food, both on and off the menu, was decidedly rustic, traditional, and inviting. The owner was polite, informative, and attentive to hospitality without being intrusive.
We walked in without a reservation, and the girl seated us right away, and indeed, the place had several empty tables. It's a shame that the wait for the order (half an hour) and then for the service was incredibly long. An hour and a half for a testarolo with pesto and a vegan rigatoni, and obviously we didn't order anything else.
