In our humble opini... read more Every Italian town has its number one bar. It may be a little more expensive than “lesser” bars but usually you will receive better quality. In our humble opinion at least Caffe Cavour is Parma's number one spot for drinks and nibbles. Situated at...the top of the busy Str. Cavour, (Parma’s busy shopping street), it is the perfect place to watch people and the world go by. Drinks are excellent but a trifle more expensive than usual. The cost is mitigated by the amount and quality of the snacks that accompany your Spritz or gin and tonic. In fact I’d go as far as to say that on average, there was enough brought out to provide you with a decent light-lunch, (see photo). Service was never anything less than first-class. It's not the place for late-night drinks, (it closes at 9pm), as presumably most of its passing traffic has ceased. It does open at 7am however, so perhaps later opening is asking a little too much. We had a drink in there every day of our trip and I need say no more than that?
