The building of the melbourne union was privatized by a brainless student union several years back and now has company stands like Donut-König in food court. but above you find the co-op that has been in operation for over 30 years. hot foods are available with a series of cakes, baked and curries. there are many healthy broth rolls, and some amazing cakes and muffins. all products are vegan, except one of the hot cakes and three of the sweets. the co-op also offers gluten-free cakes, muffins and brownies! there is also a dryware area where they can think their organic soy milk, lenses, syrups, free trade coffee and everything they can think. even cruel, free wash of liquid! the membership is open to any and members receive a 10% discount for the duration (12 months) yes, I am member and it has paid within weeks.
This is a fantastic spot for an affordable, healthy snack. I appreciate that they source their ingredients locally, and I really enjoyed the lovely, inviting atmosphere. The tofu burger I tried was topped with a delicious tahini sauce, and the vegan donuts were excellent. I’ll definitely be returning!
This restaurant is a great choice if you're at Melbourne University, although I wouldn’t make a special trip just to go there. I visited again at the end of the academic year, which coincides with the summer exam period. They served only a dahl dish, and I tried it twice. The dahl was quite good, but the second version, which had black lentils, was even tastier. They also offered delicious vegan muffins to enjoy. Overall, it’s a very affordable and worthwhile option.

There aren’t many seats inside, but there are tables outside the union building.
