Great hotel. Very clean rooms, with beautiful views. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is amazing with Paradise mini golf next door. I do have a suggestion for an improvement. The soap bar holder is nearly impossible to lift a wet bar of soap from and it makes a nails on a chalkboard sound as you inevitably chase it around the countertop trying to lift the bar of soap. What Karissa Barry doesn't like about The Bayside Oceanfront Resort:
Rooms are nicely renovated but have terrible noise insulation.Could hear the guests from upstairs walking around, and the coughs from guests from next door. The restaurant is hit and miss, for the prices I expected much better quality. (Do not order the avocado toast, it’s a single small slice of bread with wilted greens and less than fresh avocado.)Beautiful location, and the front desk staff are lovely. View all feedback.
First and foremost, the meals were incredible. The banana leaf-wrapped salmon was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning that made it both flavorful and delicate. The sesame-crusted ahi tuna was also remarkable, featuring a perfect sear on the outside and a melt-in-your-mouth texture inside. And the dessert? The chocolate cake was rich and decadent, while the sticky toffee pudding was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had. However, it wasn't just the food that made the meal special. The service was impeccable; every team member went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a top-notch experience. The atmosphere was lovely, and the beautiful ocean view was the cherry on top. I felt relaxed and at ease throughout the meal, which made it even more enjoyable. Overall, the food, service, atmosphere, and ocean view were outstanding, and I can't wait to return soon. Thank you once again for everything!
The hotel has been beautifully renovated, maintaining a warm and inviting small-town charm. Even though it’s an older establishment, the updates and impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and common areas make it just as impressive, if not better, than the upscale hotel nearby. Each staff member exceeded our expectations with their kindness and hospitality; we truly felt welcomed and valued during our stay. The restaurant was also extremely accommodating and friendly. We had a fantastic visit! Thank you for hosting us!
The rooms have been beautifully renovated, but the sound insulation leaves much to be desired. I could hear the guests above me moving around, as well as coughing from the neighboring rooms. My dining experience was inconsistent; considering the prices, I anticipated a better quality. (I wouldn't recommend the avocado toast—it's just a small piece of bread topped with wilted greens and rather stale avocado.) On the bright side, the location is lovely, and the staff at the front desk are exceptionally friendly.
Located on a bluff with a view of the beach, the hotel features a short path leading down to the sand and a seating area right by the shore. I especially loved the Adirondack chairs placed around the property; it was a pleasure to take our books outside and unwind in those chairs. We also made use of the gym, which was well-equipped for a solid workout, and dined at the restaurant, where the food was outstanding. In summary, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and we are already checking our schedules to plan our return visit!
Great hotel! The rooms are impeccably clean and provide breathtaking views. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic, with Paradise Mini Golf right next door. I do have one suggestion for improvement: the soap dish is quite difficult to lift a wet bar of soap from, and it makes an irritating nails-on-a-chalkboard sound when you try, often causing the soap to slide around the countertop.
