Brasserie Brandman - Park Ridge

The staff was friendly, and the owner did check in to see if everything was satisfactory, but he avoided making eye contact, which made it seem like he didn’t truly care. I know he has experience in hotel management, but he should treat every guest as if they were coming into his home, especially since many customers return to this area. My steak was burned on the outside and rare on the inside. Generally, the food is quite good, but it seems the chef may have had an off night.

I visited Brasserie Brandman on Valentine's Day, where they offered a fixed menu of a starter and entrée for $75. Unfortunately, this menu was essentially a slightly modified version of their regular offerings, with a price increase of about 50%. The meal itself was quite disappointing. The lobster bisque needed salt, the shrimp lacked flavor, and my filet was cooked medium-well instead of medium-rare as requested. My wife's experience was similarly underwhelming. It seems that one visit is enough for us at this place.

My wife and I visited Brasserie Brandman for a special date. The service was outstanding, and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the older home. The food was delicious, but I found it to be quite overpriced.

What else to say? the waiting staff was attentive, but not overlaid, the ambiente was very raised and romantic, the music was just the perfect volume, where it wasn't too loud was not too soft and the choice of the music was perfect, and the eating was absolutely phenomenal. the best two steaks I've ever tasted came from this restaurant.

Cancelled reservation due to snow storm on 1/23/2016 and rescheduled for February 20th. I have been to this restaurant on previous occasions and the food is excellent. The homemade biscuits with homemade butter are awesome.
