We have Ben living in PC now for 2-3 years. We had never known of Nelson Cottage. Great food and service. Small with maybe 10-12 tables so it’s nice and quiet. Great whisky cocktails of course and the menu is a price fixe menu. View all feedback.
Matt did a great job! Desert was phenomenal!!! Cherry Peach pie!
Ladies in the gift shop are always great. Make the trip when I'm in this part of the country so I can pick up something from the gift shop. Took my wife to the bar last weekend. Rude bartender who couldn't be bothered. He had to ask us twice what our order was. Poured the larger pour without asking what I wanted. $45 pour for something that I could've bought in the gift shop for a little over 2X the price. Bottom line: great whiskies and gift shop, poor service and overpriced drinks in the bar. Stop at the gift shop, skip the bar
We came here because our guests wanted to try the bourbon and they didn’t have any more tastings available at the distillery. We heard the food was good so we came to check it out. We started with the marmolada cocktail which was delicious and fresh. We also got the deviled eggs which were tasty. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had but they weren’t the worst. They were pretty middle of the road but the bacon on top was a good touch! 2 of us got the business tacos and agreed that was the star of the whole lunch. The bison was juicy and the sauce with the slaw and cilantro on top was excellent. 15/10 would get 1000 more times. My husband got the chicken and waffle and he loved it. It was pretty spicy but he ate every last bite of it. Our friends got the schnitzel and thought it was good. Not the best he’d ever had but it satisfied his craving for schnitzel with his bourbon. I also got a bees knees cocktail toward the end of lunch. The cocktails were expensive but it’s park city so what do you expect? They were delicious though. I’d def recommend coming here if you can’t get into full distillery and want to eat something delicious food.
This restaurant is rushing the plates and should pay attention to details. The Ceasar was served without crack peppers.. was ok but not super good. The onion soup was pretty good but served too fast and cheese was barely melted. Once I sent it back it was very good. The peach and cherry pie was extremely disappointing.. all dough uncooked )and flat. Do not expect a fresh seasonal pie!
Great old time saloon feel with outdoor dining if you bring a pup. We ate outside because of the dog. Weather was super. We arrived a little after noon and were seated immediately. When we left there was a long line at the entrance and I’m guessing a decent wait. The wife and I both had the Cast Iron Trout. I don’t know that it was the best trout I have ever had. But, I’d put it in the top three. And since I’m 71, I doubt that I’ll have any that would knock it down. Service was good, prompt and attentive and the trout and sides were exceptionally prepared. I also took the time to go inside the store and pick up a couple of bottles that can only be purchased locally. Good food, good liquor and very reasonable prices.
