The experience was very good except for the manager who told us when we sat down on time for our reservation that he had a reservation after us and needed the table. He implied that we needed to eat quickly. As we were on time for our reservation I thought the manager was totally rude and out of line to make that request. Other than that the experience was good but given the manager said this right at the start it re... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Mustang:
We selected this restaurant because of all the great reviews. The service was not good, staff was cold as ice, food was ok and it was very expensive. I feel there are way better restaurants with far better service in downtown Park City View all feedback.
The food was good, but extremely overpriced. I and my father have fed in large restaurants in Park City for the last week, and that was the double price of the most demanding we went (Firewood). I made a reservation on Open Table and when we were there the only option was a price-fixed dinner. When the check came, we were shocked. They accused us of $356 for two people who only drink water. The same restaurant in Manhattan would cost $50 per person.
For a restaurant that categorizes itself as high end fine dining, The Mustang missed the mark in every category. For starters we had the fried goat cheese salad and the bruschetta. The salad was was priced at $22 and was an underwhelming plate of spring mix with 2 tiny fried goat cheese balls. The bruschetta had mozzarella cheese and pesto that I?m guessing came out of a jar. Now let?s get to the main course. Our table ordered the halibut and the trout. Both had a fishy taste and it tasted like it was previously frozen. The sides that came with it were bland. Charging close to $50 for each of these plates should be a criminal offense. At the end of the day I?m just thankful that I didn?t get sick the next morning. I hope this restaurant steps its game up in the future because I feel like I could of had a comparable meal on a cruise ship.
Would have given 3 stars but food was good. Had the Chilean Sea Bass which was heavily fishy for those of you sensitive to that. Service was adequate but not overly friendly, no alcohol and Diet Coke was awfully flat. Filet great flavor but not as tender as should be expected for $50 menu item. overpriced for the food and service.
Overall a really bad experience. Host appears in undecided shorts with hose socks. Plates, cutlery, glasses all beat together and the quality of a TGIF. The chicken piccata comes with brown gravy swimming in a cream sauce. How's the chicken piccata? The Entrees are almost $50, the food really subpar and the service slow. That was a Friday night and we ate early and went off at 8:00? the restaurant was empty. At this price point with low quality food, service and things like a drink served in a dirty glass (lipstick smeared), this place will not be too much longer?
Drinks were good, server was nice, food was subpar. Definitely not worth the price. Took off 2 stars because of 3 reasons. Grapes on one of the appetizers were MOLDY!! We told the server, she apologized, that's it. No substitution, no discount. The wine price was incorrect on our tab. $20 vs the $17 in the manue so we had to ask for the adjustment, check your tab before paying. Way overpriced food, NOT a fine dining.
