Our apartment was right across the street from the Boulangerie and it always had a line. Everyone spoke french, and we were obviously some of very few tourists in the group. The service was typical parisian and the pastries were quite tasty. Prices we normal but not exceptional. We very much enjoyed their Gallete de Roi (sp? while we visited. View all feedback.
What Ivah Huel doesn't like about Flament:
We took breakfast here with croissants, espresso and other bakery products. while the food was good, the manager had a big attitude problem. She was so messy with us from beginning to end. She was talking at the end of us without knowing that I was speaking French, only when I gave her back, she'd go. Too bad because the food was delicious. all the servers were very nice though. Very nice bakery. It was not far from our flat and almost every evening we looked in to treat ourselves to pastries and cakes which were magnificent , especially a round chockolate and raspberry mousse pastry and raspberry mille-feuille. Also, we tried some bread with different seeds and corn. That was very good, too. I can definitely recommend this backery-boulangery for all who stays at Grand Boulevards.
This small eatery was just around the corner from our hotel. On our first morning in France after many years and very little (take that to read none) French language skills, this cafe looked very welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful and did not object at all to our hopeless attempts at trying to order coffee and tea and something to eat.The food was standard french bakery but this cafe was very well frequented by the locals so it was obviously one of the better bakeries around. We were in Paris for three nights and this was a breakfast stop every morning and we could sit at the table next to the window and watch the locals go about their morning.
After a day of bad weather I came back to buy products: chocolate bun, coconut cake and two really great pastries, I recommend it for a breakfast or a snack.
