Went to this chilled place on a quiet Wednesday night after dinner South of Pigalle . Very relaxed, slow-jazz style cocktail bar, with a hint of 30s feeling. Few couples and a bunch of people outside giving it just the right vibe. Nice list of cocktails, if you want to stay virgin try the Tenderness with lemon, grapefruit and cucumber. Great for a chilled drink late or an escape from busy Sacre Coeur which is only about 5mins walk away.
N the Middle Somewhat Elevated, the dance piece by William Forsythe, is precise, intense and mellow to me, and I found Marie 's bar to be like that. The cocktails are elevated , and the side dishes cooked with precision, will carry you higher into the night. This is a place for early evening or the entire diner, at the table or at the counter, alone with a book, for a romantic pas de deux, or friendly many. Definitely elevated .
An American-friendly stop when visiting Pigalle on a lazy late afternoon or early evening. Not only some of the best punches you will ever have but the best French tapas in Paris. Yes, small dishes with a drink but with substantially more artistry than your usual tapas and imagination in the range of tastes. The tomatoes with eggplant were to die for and we had an incredible mackerel dish, yes mackerel, which opened our eyes and palate to this tastefully prepared soft fish. A must! Ask the cocktail bar-woman for her best punch of the day and admire her artistry in action.
Amazing Drinks ! If you are looking for a very good cocktail in a beautiful place with lovely hosts this is the place. Food is also very good. I highly recommend !
Located in South Pigalle, I came here on a Saturday night around midnight. I had asked a few locals for recommendations and they were gearing me towards the nightclubs in the area which I had no interest in going to. I wanted to go to a place where I can sit down, have a drink or two, and not yell over any loud music. So I was informed about this place and had a wonderful, relaxing end to my first night in Paris. I didn't have any cocktails, only wine. I loved the atmosphere the music selection was on point and the crowd was mixed (not too old, not too young, not too hipster...you get my point). Also, kitchen closes at 11:00 pm.
