I had not been here for a couple of years but always remembered this restaurant as a very good restaraunt. I was not disappointed. I was early so i had the restaurant for myself the first 30minutes. This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff and I think they always recommend it. Perhaps the staff is a bit complacent because they have a steady flow of business from the nearby hotels, but we found the service to be sorely lacking. Very good kitchen with good products. Nice service and listening. On the other hand, I find the price a little too high.
It is located in a quiet location near the Sèvres-Babylonne station on the Left Bank of Paris. I stopped by after buying souvenirs at Le Bon Marche. The daily recommendations were written on the blackboard, and there was squid risotto, so I ordered it. The seasoning was different from Japan and it was very delicious. The dessert, Savarin, was interesting because it was made with white bread, and it was also delicious with alcohol. It was a nice shop except for the service lady who was a little scary. (Pourquoi ne m'a-t-elle pas simplement donné de l'eau? )
C'est dommage car le plat était très bon, mais le service laisse à désirer. Il n'y avait plus de pain en milieu de repas, et personne n'a pensé à traverser la rue pour en acheter. Le serveur a rempli notre deuxième verre : il a trop rempli les deux premiers, pas assez les deux suivants et a ignoré les deux derniers. Sympa, merci. Il ne réagit pas lorsque l'on souligne le problème.
