Probably not my wife or daughter's favorite restaurant, but we all enjoyed our late-night steak at Black Dog. The ambience reminds me of clubs I frequented when younger, and the music is definitely to my taste. Quick and friendly service, and an excellent steak. Don't let the atmosphere deter you, worth your time. View all feedback.
What Jane Norazman doesn't like about Black dog:
First, the place was loud and I mean LOUD loudest PA sound I've ever heard in a bar, and I go to a lot of loud US music venues with moaning screamo sounds. But, it's a proper divey bar, which aren't on every...corner in gay Paree. I had the Argentinian sausage, which came on a nice baguette. Not the best choice, but the menu looks good if limited by the late Sunday hour. Nice bartender tolerated this French illiterat... View all feedback.
I walked in here and had camps. don't eat that, but the type at the door was ok (let me in) and bar staff are nice. ok, if you like metal, but it's really for people who are totally in this kind of music. Other...Patrons very friendly. worth a visit.
Not sure that the famous gastronomic chronists of the chic Saint-Germain-des-Près district much in this cutthroat-like cave, whose facade, and few dark terrace smoker, would let to mother's röcke all good kitty of the 16th arrondissement run. unless it's a swallow. enough mumbo jumbo. what do we eat?! black poodle in a hot dog? Maybe when the restaurant was opened. Today we are with sublime pieces Argentine meat, cooked for perfection (if your request is such), i.e. not about the rare. in addition, they confiscate the aforementioned terraces. they will teach you how to live. the nicknames of the courts are in harmony with the atmosphere of the place, swing between the lomo erectus, the death penalty, the metal machine or the walhalla. Of course, they have some dishes that only awaken the spirituality of the most faithful michael buble or barry manilow, such as grilled chicken or vegan meatballs. let us be clear, not the best on the menu, so yes, in short, the meats are excellent in terms of quality and cooking. they feel that both the service and the kitchen will light a candle in their memory when asking for rarely cooked meat. it is cooked on the surface without being carburized and hot in itself. so don't complain. on the side a large selection of different sauces at 1 euro each. it will always be a war between those who think it should be included in the price and those who think the variety of the six sauces justifying the supplement. I'm going to think about a dissertation. I'm dithyrambic? Let's say the desserts are something special. the only one from the ordinary is alien eggs, and we are more in the funny things than the end-of-meal happiness. these are fried teig with a cream that cannot be used in gastronomy. with a pretty karamell pentagram. and a small impact cream. Come on, we'll forgive you by saying it's for fun. very good Malbec Argentine trapiche to accompany all this. there is still the landscape. I put the almost maximum score on this point because I love it. I do not doubt that some will see a slight satanic influence. they are right! bill of 250 euro for four people. text blog la table d 'ogre
We enjoyed our mid-sized rare steaks at black dog, nicely cooked, with a choice of two sides and one soße. the decoration is gothic and the music heavy metal. our waitress was very friendly and helpful, we managed to conversate very well with her...English and our limited franzosen. not the ambiente that suits everyone, but we are products of the 1960s and we loved it.
My wife and I stopped here on the basis of the reviews. looks like a total dive, but we sat in the upper sitting area that wasn't too loud. the music is terrible (we refer to it as “Screamo” music, lol) but if they forget that the beer, eating and service was excellent. I had the ribeye steak and the woman had empanadas. It's really good. had the tiramisu and cream brûlée and both were perhaps the best I ever had. we really recommend this place. would go again.
My friends and I visited this pub after attending a concert at L 'Olympia late on a Tuesday night. We wanted to have a couple of drinks before going back to our hotels, and as we are fans of rock and heavy metal, we thought we...would give this place a try. It reminded us of some of the slightly dingy metal bars that we have known in London over the years, which is fine. You know where you stand with a place like this. No frills, not exactly 'service with a smile ' (although you probably get more of a welcome if you are a local), but you 're not necessarily there for that. You are there for a decent soundtrack whilst you have a few drinks and unwind with your friends. Prices were very average for central Paris (Paris is generally quite expensive) and they had a few interesting beers rather than the usual lagers that you see available in the other bars. They also had ice cold Jager, which was very welcome. We did meet a couple of ex-pats who were very welcoming, so that was nice, but I would need to visit again earlier in the evening during a weekend the next time I am in Paris to see what the atmosphere is truly like.
