I noted this 4 according to the general impression of food, service and atmosphere. I had the omelette - which was very generous in size. I chose the ham omelette, the ham wasn't good - too salty, so I ate everything except the ham. The omelette was served with a huge salad and a basket of bread. You're not going to go back hungry. besides the outdoor terrace and the restaurant on the ground floor, there is a good ro... View all feedback.
What Dessie Lueilwitz doesn't like about Au Pere Tranquille:
I arrived at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and I was only looking for a cup of coffee. Once I arrived, I stayed for five minutes to sit while there were only 6 people on the first floor. When I sat down, I said I was just here to grab a coffee and I looked at the coffee list. However, the waiter just brought me a cup of coffee and grabbed the menu with attitude and threw it on the table next to me. The cup they brought me wa... View all feedback.
We stopped to protect ourselves from the Paris rain. We shared the tray of three cheeses with bread and each one ordered an aperitif. the drink was really small and had the taste of a drug against cough. We tried to remanure it by adding a sprite as a drink, but it didn't help. My friend finally ordered a glass of wine. The cheese was beautiful and made for a perfect snack in the middle of the day. service was above average but not great. The area upstairs was really cute with sofas and books.
One of the best burgers ever. the service was fast and the food was served hot. generous portions of ravioli. the waiter, stone proposed to find us a table for our big group. the menu was in English and French.
We stopped here for a business lunch. the restaurant is spacious with a large outdoor lounge area with round tables. The lunch menu included a small list of dishes ranging from sandwiches to large salads, to hot dishes. the fries that accompanied the "croque madam" were not the best. friendly staff in a boy's outfit, typical of a Parisian bistro. Average prices and average food.
We stopped there after the coffee-theatre. very friendly people, very active place and very cozy room on the first floor. I recommend.
As others mentioned, the service is "at random". I guess I just had to find a table because when I headed to two different servers, they were walking in the opposite direction. I was lucky when I sat down, there were some spare menus on the table next to me because that's how I got one. I finally drew someone to take my order and my glass of wine and water came quickly as my meal (as compared to others who seemed to wait longer). I had the "day plate" and my meal was quite average and not well presented. As for the atmosphere, I was looking forward to leaving because at the table next to me there were two men in business meeting and the voice of a man was exceptionally strong!!! It's good to have business lunches but everyone doesn't want to hear what you have to say - he didn't even stop talking to eat!
