What Darren Kuhic doesn't like about Cafe des Moulins:
The food was fine, the service slow but not rude, and I did enjoy the Amelie nods. However, the toilets were especially grimy, with one loo sans lid and no hot water running (the tap was jammed) and the entire restaurant could do with a bit of a revamp. As an iconic destination restaurant the decor could have been either truer to the film, or just a bit cleaner all round. I'd dine elsewhere. View all feedback. we went to the cafe because of the movie “Amélie". The food was only acceptable, but it did not spoil the moment we enjoyed from the movie, with big posters hang on the wall, the bar Amelie worked behind and the mysterious restroom. The service was good with energetic and enthusiastic waiter and waitress. If you go for the show Moulin Rouge, a moment rest in Cafe des Moulins is highly recommend before the show. The c... read moreThis is a nice cafe to spend some time after exploring Montmartre Admittedly, it was their Amelie claim to fame that drew us in.
I heard mediocre reviews about this place before going, but wanted to come because of Amelie.
