We had the sushi and brochettes . The sushi rice was very delicate and you get big, beautiful pieces of sashimi. The brochettes were perfectly baked, the meat was juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The sauce was full of taste yet very light! The interior was sober. No wifi. View all feedback.
What Grover McDermott doesn't like about Soleil Levant:
Impersonal service, or even disembodied. Fresh but not tasteful fish, in too large slices.Brochettes too dry.Ambiance no more...Bruss, I don't understand the super notes that brought me to this place. View all feedback.
I have been going to the “Soleil Levant” for pretty much a couple weeks, almost every day at my break. They are super friendly, always have a calm and clean area and the food taste amazing. Plus, the food is cooked fast and well, what more can we ask !
I do cook Japanese food. The miso soup was weak in taste with very little tofu and too much mushrooms. When I looked at the prices, I thought it was very reasonable. The reason why the prices seemed low; the portions were very small. I have never seen such tiny sushi in my life. like bite size. The sashimi was good but I knew it was not fresh but unthawed. The teriyaki chicken had good taste. The rice served was not Japanese style. It was more dry than normal. I was originally give a score between poor to good. The rating kept on going down as I waited for my bill. It took over 30min to get my bill unreasonable. There were only a total of three customers so it was not that busy. I will never come back to this restaurant. PS: per the internet, the restaurant was suppose to open at 7pm on Saturday. I showed up and was told to come back in one hour. This place wasted my time.
Walking around looking for a Thai or Japanese cuisine for lunch, passed by this small place that looked busy so went in, and glad to have found this joint. Ordered salmon, tuna sashimi, yakitories and miso.... all great. They offer lunch specials.
Situated a few yards away from the Arc de triomphe. This family owned restaurant offers great value for money Japanese food. We went there twice during our stay in a nearby hotel. A la carte and set menus from 13 euros. set menus includes a salad, soup and your main dish with different formula from sushi, sashimi, yakitori etc....fresh, nice and tasty food. Good service. husband and wife team who are doing a good job.
Équipe très agréable, les sushis sont frais et très bons pour un prix très correct. Toujours un plaisir d'y retourner depuis plusieurs années !
