We stopped for lunch on the day of our return home. Very friendly and forthcoming service and great food, even though we just had salad and a fantastic boudin basque (a specialty served with potato and apple, certainly not for everyone! . We will try to return another time for a full dinner, unfortunately we were not able to have one due to a glitch in the reservation system, which lead to 4 out of 5 points. View all feedback.

Top service, excellent quality fresh products
Very good restaurant! We eat well and the staff is very nice
Perfect! The restaurant owner welcomed us as friendly as possible! I found a table for 7 people on Friday! The kitchen is delicious! The portions are large enough. We left warm, filled and in good mood! Thank you very much for your welcome
Very fresh food, I enjoyed the fish and chips, cooking was just fine.
I’d travelled to the Porte de Versailles area of Paris with a group of friends to visit the Retro Mobile classic car show. I did a little homework on the local restaurants, as we were meeting for lunch on the first day of the trip. There were plenty of options, but most were of the Pizza, Burger, or Middle Eastern variety, and not the sort of food we were looking for while in Paris. I came across this restaurant here on Trip Advisor, and after reading some of the reviews, booked a table for 5 online. Arriving at the restaurant, we were welcomed by the Chef Patron, who would also be our waiter, and sommelier for the duration. The room is probably best described as informal and patina’d, the Chef’s English is limited, but we bumbled along with our embarrassingly bad French. As there was 5 of us, and we were hungry after our travels, we made our way through most of the dishes on offer. The mussels, smoked salmon, snails, shrimp, were as good as I’ve eaten anywhere. Main courses of duck, steak, black pudding, and burger (there’s always one! were outstanding. My choice of Basque Boudin served with pomme purée and roasted apple, and a colleagues king prawn and mussels served in a bouillabaisse style soup were off the scale, needless to say, it turned into a very long lunch! Can’t recommend this place highly enough, the Chef flys this place solo at lunchtime, but does it well, and took good care of everyone. We spent the rest of the trip eating in the Les Halles area, at places like L’Escargot, and Au Pied de Cochon, all were excellent, but this little place, off the beaten track was the stand out for me, with the additional bonus of being very reasonably priced!
