Homey and comforting food. We had the duck confit and it was moist, flavourful and delicious while still being simple and fresh. Very cute and small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. View all feedback.
What Carlos Jacobs doesn't like about Les Fetes Galantes:
We had a great time for lunch here as it is close to the Notre Dame Cathedrale so handy and lots of other restaurants around here snails escargot chicken **** O vin or salad and wine there are oysters View all feedback.
If you want authentic French food, delicious food that gives you a mom and pop shop experience. You must visit actually everyone should visit. It's so nice to find a quality restaurant that serves delicious food that's not a tourist trap! You cannot go wrong with their onion soup!
Had onion soup and duck confit. amazing food! good price! the ambiance is cozy and friendly. the waitress is very kind. definitely recommended!!
Traveling from Angers, I missed lunch and was quite hungry. I came on a Rick Steves recommendation. The onion soup was deep and rich and I wished for 1/2 again as much. The bread had a burned edge that weakened the last bite. The veal stew was delicious and perfectly balanced and loved the flavorful olives. But again I could have used a bit more. I can surmise that normally more would be wasted. I am not a desert person but the chocolate mousse was glorious like liquid fudge. But too much of that. There is something sour about the smell in the air though and I would not return except to see if it had changed b/c the food is marvelous.
A very cost cafe hidden in the back streets near other cafes and bars. The cafe is run by the chef whose food is delicious and his wife who provides excellent service and likes to chat with the customers. This cafe was highly recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. The cafe is in an older part of Paris near the Pantheon. A nice walk around the shops too.
This is our second time here at Les Fetes Galantes. We were previously here 10 years ago, and when we were on our way through Paris, we made sure we came back because we had such a great meal. The only thing that has changed since 10 years ago? The owner's English has gotten 10 times better. The food is still amazing (the best meal I've had in my numerous trips to Paris) and the staff is incredibly friendly...they sincerely treat you like family. We had an appetizer, a bottle of wine, two meals (I had an amazing lamb shank), and two deserts, and we got out of here for 90 euros after a gratuity. That's CHEAP when you consider it's all made-to-order right on the spot...so prepare to be waiting a bit for your meal. It's worth it!The atmosphere here is truly Parisian...a very small, very quaint restaurant tucked away where you could almost miss it. This adds to the amazing charm of this place. The menu is always hand-written on a chalk board because the ingredients change based upon the season. You can tell by the walls full of business cards and hand-written notes that people from all over the world continue to return here year after year.Again, without a doubt the best meal we've had in Paris numerous times. The next time we find ourselves here, you can guarantee we'll be back.
