We stopped here for a quick lunch before going to Sacre Coeur. Outside seating is limited because of the narrow sidewalk but the interior is huge. Nevertheless, we sat outside with a view of the bus stop. Service was good and the food (fish and chips) acceptable for a lunch stop. The ambiance is inside.
We tried the snails and frogs legs here which were tasty, I preferred the frogs legs. We also had the boeuf bourguignon with tagliatelle which was quite rich and a little salty, but I did enjoy it.The waiter was very friendly and helpful as we had not had snails before and needed help.Very clean and cosy setting, would recommend
We were 4 for dinner on a Friday evening and decided Le Pigalle looked interesting. Our waitress was friendly, cheerful and efficient. Our starters comprised 1 Onion Soup, 2 Crispy Prawns and Friture eperlans (fried smelt) for me: mine was very tasty and my companions were pleased with their choices too. For mains, 3 of us had crispy fried chicken with wok-fried vegetables - delicious - and our 4th chose Boeuf Bourguignon which he rated as lovely. A bottle of good Sauvignon Blanc and a carafe of IGP du Var for the beefeater were good complements to the food. To round it all off, tea and coffee and 2 liqueurs. The bill was €150.20 and was good value for the quality and quantity of what we had. A very pleasant dinner in a good establishment.
Very nice place to rest after touring Montmartre. Especially I recommend the snails - delicious. There was a band plying downstairs. Nice atmosphere.
