I am a cozy environment. kellner was awfully friendly and spoke English with my chosen French. the food was fresh and tasty, and the natural white wine was crisp and dry. really a wonderful experience. View all feedback.
Good reception , simple quality kitchen , quiet area
Excellent food, friendly and knowledgeable staff all combined with a convenient location and reasonable prices. Will go again.
Loved it! Our lunch menu was exquisite! Beautiful plates with fresh products. We topped it with glasses of pétillant naturel . A wine cave, I will go back for sure
The most lovely long dinner of mixed charcuterie, cheese and wine. The staff was super friendly and helpful and everything we ate was perfect.
First visits April 2017. Located across the street from the hotel, a visit was paid to Le Garde Robe one evening for a glass of wine and charcuterie. The wine selection by the glass was quite limited, 3 reds and perhaps 3 whites, but yielded an excellent Loire Valley red that was a steal at E6. The charcuterie and cheese plate was also quite good - fresh and tasty and quite generous in proportions. The staff of two came across as sarcastic but seemingly genial, and the teasing about admittedly poor French was taken as good natured (and admittedly deserved). A return visit the following evening for another glass of the fantastic wine revealed the true demeanor. Ignored for some time, the staff finally made acknowledgement with dramatic indifference and continued neglect, resulting in a departure without service. The space is fairly small and close, with little to recommended it outside of the wines. And with a staff so uncivilized in their treatment of customers it is impossible to recommend Le Garde Robe.
